Clarence Allen Tinsley, 69, of 56 Gish Lane, Staunton, died Monday, November 01, 2004 at Augusta Medical Center, Fishersville. He was born May 27, 1935 in Staunton, son of David Tinsley and Nellie G. Goolsby Tinsley. Mr. Tinsley served with the U.S.

Air Force and was stationed in Alaska. He worked for Sperry Marine in Charlottesville for 37 years. He loved bass fishing, enjoyed his retirement by spending quality time with his grandchildren, and was always willing to help others. Mr. Tinsley was proud to be an American, and always gave of himself to benefit those he loved.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Irene T. Johnson. Surviving are his wife, Doris Tinsley of Staunton; 3 sons, Danny Wimer of Cashiers, NC, K. Scot Tinsley of Churchville, Jeff Tinsley and wife, Elyssa of Goshen; 1 daughter, Donna Glover and husband, Gary of Goodview, VA; 9 grandchildren, Crystal Travis Glover, Ray Jackson, Crystal Culley, Kelly Danielle Tinsley, Coltan Martee Strong, and Wesley Tinsley; 2 great-grandchildren, Gavin Culley and Jacob Thorne; 1 brother, William "Bill" Tinsley and wife, Kay of Staunton; 1 sister, Mary Elkins of Fishersville; special friends, Dwight and Linda Tinsley, Harold Reid and family, Bob Campbell and family, the Brown family, Bill and Barbara Wimer and family, the Cash family, the Fitzgerald family, Frank and Debbie Thomas family, Tom and Gina Humphries family, Charles and Barbara Massincup family, all of his life-long friends and co-workers. His memories will be cherished and he will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday at the Augusta Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends attending the service. The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
