from the Ladies Soldiers1 Aid society distributed boxes of lunch tnrough the battery camp The boys cheered wildly as the distribution went on and cnj6yed the treat very much Private HaTvey Banks became suddenly ill while the distribution was beinn made and four of his companions hud to bear him away on a stretcher to tlio hospital He looked pale and ill Captain Ranke said that it was another case of malaria and that the voting mans condition was not serious There is a marked improvement in the appearance of the spldTcrs at the camp Colonel Htudebaker attributes it to the good cftrc pure time of the funeral has not yet been set JOHN UUTSEL Another one of the old citizens of Forth Wayne was called this morning John IL Hutscl who for the last three months has been ill front a stroke of paralysis sustained a third stroke and expired at 020 this morning at his home 200 WestWash ington street John II Hutscl was born in Ludweilen Germany in 1832 so that he was 80 years old at the timo of hia death He came to this country fifty years ago and has lived in Fort Wayne for nearly half a century lis Was united lni marriage to Sophia Beach in 1842 and seven children four of whom survive were born to them They are Mrs Fox city Mrs Bott city John Guthrie Oklahoma and Fred of Peru Ind In 1858 he was again married to Catherine Lauer and the result of this union was four children one of The principal affairs before the committee were bands of music and illumination A number of torches and fires were examined ond tested but no definite selection vas made The ball and carnival committee also held a meeting and had before them Mr livineke leader of the orchestra to con Mult with them recardincr the character of the music to he furnished at the ball Some of the committee Were in favor of huv ing a band to play the two steps and an orchestra to play waltzes Mr Rein eke stated that inasmuch as his men did not all belong to tho oand and orchestra it would require the addition Rev Ballin ger has been the officiating clergyman at the church and during this time has been a most efficient pastor He has during his five years residence in Fort Wayne made many friends both inside and outside of his church circles He has been an active member of the ministerial association and has worked with a view to benefiting the morals of our city His worth as a clergyman has been re
