Toward End The annual baseball eui for the benefit of the free wirdi of Providence Hospital was a great success It was successful from the viewpoint of the National Press Club team because they won by a score of 11 to 8 The Metropolitan and Chevy Chase clubs combined team felt successful because up to the last out they succeeded In keeping the winning team up to Its neck in trouble Providence Hospital will share in the general success by being able to buy a lot of new equipment out of the proceeds The match was a charity cunt so far as Providence Hospital was concerned but charity between first batter up Stuart Price This team scored twice In the second inning four In the fourth two more in the fifth and two In the sixth They scored again In the seventh and last Inning The game as called at the close of the seventh Two Bagger by King In the seventh Charles King for the Press Club drove a two bagger and scored The Metropolitan and Chevy Chase ClUb team was some distance te hlnd for the rnoet part of the game Toward the closing Innings however they began a spectacular rally It was at this crisis of the game that those who came to throw POP bottles and advice re I malned to
