Motive of tho Crime Dead Man Was Killed With Some Blunt Instrument and the Body Robbed of Jewels and Money- Los Angeles Gal April 2S Mystery deeper than any that has surrounded any recent murder case In this city marks the killing of George Mills manager of the Syndicate Loan company who was found yesterday evening in a vacant furnished house on West Sixteenth street where he had boon lured by his unknown rmnderera andbeaten to death The police and detective force are today working with little other than theories In their search for the perpetrators of the crime The theory of money- as a motive for the murder is still held The murderers killed Mills with some hlunt Instrument and robbed the body- of several hundred dollars worth or diamonds and probably about 5100 In money It Is considered likely that the crime may have baen committed by enemiesof the moneylender but no such evidence has boon found Thatthe hands of themurdered man were found securely tied behind his back with a length
