Country Club Votes For $100 Assessments A $100 assessment on stockholding members of the Country Club of Orlando to take care of a long outstandling deficit and some capital improvements was voted Monday night at a special called meeting of stockholders, a spokesman said today. "We were tired of carrying over the deficit from year year and each year having to take from current dues to liquidate it," the spokesman said. He added that a part of the assessment would go into capital improvements, including additional air-conditioning for the main lobby. There are 700 stockholders involved. (P) Mass services will be held here Friday for the 12 members of one family who died when a pre-dawn fire destroyed their home in the nearby Dotsonville community. The victims were Mr. and Mrs. Alex Whitehead, their nine children and Mrs. Whitehead's father, Albert Gibbs, who lived with the Whiteheads.

The children ranged in age from 13 years to nine months. "We found nine or ten of the bodies," said Montgomery County Sheriff Kenneth Albright, adding there was no doubt in his mind that 12 persons perished. Police and firemen were uncertain how yesterday's fire started, but theorized the five-room log house might have been struck by lightning.
