Ebben and the former Elizabeth Hietpas were married Aug. 8, 1922, at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Kimberly. Ebben farmed at route 1 until retiring 20 years ago. He was also employed as an assistant superintendent at Stokely-Van Camp, Appleton. The couple has six children; Gerald, Cornelius and Irene Diedrich, all of Greenville; John and George, both of Little Chute, and Mary Feldkamp, Wrightstown.

There are 55 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Heaney warns against large amounts of Vitamin A and D. If taken in massive doses over a long period of time, the bones will deteriorate.
