Cavaness, of this city, died at the home of her daughter, on the 30th of January, last. "Grand ma," Green as she was familiarly called, was 86 years old, and had been a resident of this county since before the civil war. She was a good woman lived a long and useful life, und now has been taken to her final reward a happy home above, and there unit ed with the dear ones who had gone before. Her remains were interred at the Camp Ground Cem etery. We call the attention of our readers to the announcement of Mr.

J. A. Ilillman, who is a can didate for Tax Assessor. "Doc' as he is generally known is no new man to the voters of Drew county. He has, heretofore, served the county as Assessor, and treated the people right when he was in ollice.

He is a true and tried Democrat, and a man who appreciates the efforts of his friends in his behalf. He is one of our cleverest and most jovial citizens and should he be the choice of the voters, he will make them as faith ful and efficient an officer in the future as he did in the past. We ask our readers to give Mr. Hill-man an impartial consideration. Hon.

T. II. McHenry, traveling agent of the Arkanses Gazette, is a candidate for Commissioner of Agriculture, Mines, and while le is at present crippled up with rheumatism so as to make it unsafe for him to travel over the country during the winter weather, he hopes that his friends will not forget him in his race. Mr. Mc Henry is well known to many of our people, since, when we used to have Fairs he was alvvavs on hand, and never failed to contrib ute largely to the amusement of the occasion.

On one occasion he got up a farmers horse-race, which gave every farmer-boy a chance to try his pony's speed for a prize, and which proved to be one of Wie most interesting races ever had on the Fair Ground track. Mr. McHenry is a clever gentleman and will duly appreciate any favors shown him. Be claims that while unable, owing to his afflictions to get off and on trains, well, nevertheless he is able to do any Und of office work and can attend the duties of the ollice he is seeking just as well as if he were not crippled Found at Last The best liver pills on earth 'Brown's Liver Tills."
