Page 14 New Idea for Cold Night Meal Yams Join Round Steak in a Pie A new idea for cold night meals —a "yamburger" pie. The "crust" is made of ground beef and the filling of ma shod Louisiana yams. You'll enjoy it. HAMBURGER PIE (Makes 4 to 6 scrvinps) 1 pound ground beef chuck 1 egg. beaten 1 medium-sized onion, chopped *3 cup chopped green pepper % cup fine dry bread crumbs 1 teaspoon salt \'e teaspoon pepper 2*4 cups mashed cooked Louisiana yams *i teaspoon seasonc-d salt \'s tea<j>oon allspice V< teaspoon pepper 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese Combine beef, egg. onion, green pepper, bread crumbs, salt and Vs teaspoon pepper: mix well. Press meat mixture on bottom and sides of 9-inch pie plate. Combine yams, seasoned salt, sHspice. l -i teaspoon pepper and 1 tablespoon cheese; mix we!!. Arrange yam! mixture over moat mixture. Top] with remaining 1 tablespoon cheese.
