William Otis Bailey formerly of Charleston 8 and a son of Mrs Helen Prentiss Bailey The marriage had been planned for Easter week but on account of Dr Baileys orders for duty the date was advanced a few weeka The house was charmingly decorated with quantities of spring flowers consisting of sweet peas snapdragons and pussy willows while groups of tall palms and Australian ferns formed a background for the wedding party A string orchestra played the wedding music and throughout the evening The Rev Dr Roland Cotton Smith assisted by the Rev McBrlde Sterrett performed the ceremony in the presence of relatives and a tew intimate friends A small reception followed The bride who was given in marriage by her father wore a lovely gown of cloth of silver draped with white tulle having a long court train white satin The bodice was of tulle aid silver lace having tulle sleeves ending a little below the elbow in a pointed ruffle flniehed by silver while the skirt which was short had layers of pointed tulle also finished by silver threads Her long tulle veil which had been worn by her mother and sis ter on their wedding days was fastened to the coiffure with a coronet of orange bloie oms and she carried a shower bouquet of orchids and lilies of the valley Miss Maude Nelson Parker who was her sisters only attendant was in a dainty down of pale pink faille combined with tulle of the same shade embroidered In panels of gold The bodice was draped with tiny French flowers and the skirt was full the tulle drapery falling in points each finished by a tiny blue rosebud She
