meeting of the Middle Atlantic Golf Association held at the New Willard it was decided that this years sectional event would be held at the Country Club of Virginia Richmond on June 4 and 5 As this just precedes the District of Columbia championship event scheduled for June 9 to 12 inclusive there is a slight possibility that dates for this latter event will be changed The Princess Anne Country Club of Virginia Beach was admitted to membership in the association and as Norfolk has never been awarded the sectional championship tourney this club was tentatively promised next years This is a new club with a course 6400 yards In length comprising 105 acres of land and is located about 200 yards from the ocean It Is being constructed by one of the best engineering companies in thfc United States and is expected to be in readiness about May or June of this year The question of putting middle Atlantic golf on a peace basis was discussed and it was decided that the team matches In addition to the individual tournament were desirable and Jt was left to the executive committee to decide whether or not to schedule these matches and if so the dates and place of holding them the committee to announce its decision before June 5 Following the usual custom the presidency of the association went to the club to which the titular event was assigned and MacKay of the Country Club of
