PAPER SPECIALS WFRV bought; will be resold GREEN BAY Orion Broadcasting, parent company of WFRV-TV in Green Bay, has been sold to Cosmos Broadcasting, a subsidiary of Liberty Greenville, S.C., for $110 million cash. According to an announcement Friday, the sale involves television stations in Louisville, Evansville, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and radio stations in Louisville and Cedar Rapids, in addition to Channel 5 in Green Bay and its satellite station in Escanaba, WJMN.

However, Robert O. Southard, WFRV station manager, said that WFRV and the Cedar Rapids station will be resold by Cosmos as soon as its purchase of Orion Broadcasting is approved by the Federal Communications Commission. He said the purchase of the four Orion stations will give Cosmos more VHF television stations than it is allowed under FCC rules. He said Cosmos now owns television stations in Columbia, S.C.; Montgomery, Toledo, Ohio, and New Or-, leans, and radio stations in Columbia and Sarasota, Fla. Southard said it probably would be sometime in 1981 before the dual transactions are completed and approved by the FCC and that he did not anticipate any changes in operations at WFRV or its satellite station until after the resale is completed and approved.

The Gong Show that was gonged by the mors VvS FEATURE 0: AW MADISON (AP) Circuit Judge Alex Raineri of Hurley, indicted by a federal grand jury here on charges including interstate travel to promote prostitution, was also the subject of a Wisconsin Judicial Commission complaint filed Friday.

The commission filed a formal misconduct complaint with the Wisconsin Supreme Court, asking the court to suspend Raineri temporarily from the bench. It asked for the appointment of a judicial conduct panel similar to the one that recently recommended removal or a three-year suspension for Milwaukee Circuit Judge Christ Seraphim. However, the commission asked that the panel not be appointed until the federal criminal charges against Raineri are resolved. The commission's complaint alleged that Raineri violated the Code of Judicial Ethics' prohibition against handling a case in which a close relative had an interest. The body accused Raineri of handling a drunken driving case involving his brother-in-law, Joseph Suzik of Hurley, in December of 1978.

U.S. Attorney Frank Tuerkheimer said the federal grand jury indicted Raineri, 61, on three counts of interstate travel to promote alleged prostitution, one of perjury before the grand jury and one of obstructing justice. Raineri has been a judge since Jan. 1, 1978, and previously served for 17 years as Iron County district attorney. Tuerkheimer said the three alleged prostitution-related offenses, in Au Awards Continued From Page 1 Herald Telegram.

The schedule called for delegates to consider the anti-abortion resolution and other proposals Saturday afternoon. The resolution would place the convention on record in support of "the right of all human life to exist," oppose federal funding of abortions and support a Human Life Amendment introduced in Congress by Sen. Jake Gam, R-Utah. It noted the resolution is co-sponsored by Sen. William Proxmire, frequent and long-time target of state Republicans on other issues.

"No nation that treats human life as a matter of convenience can defend any of its basic principles of freedom to its own people or to the world," the resolution said. "No other issue is more important than society's ability to protect the lives of its people," it continued. The resolution said the word "person" applies to "all human beings, irrespective of age, health, function of dependency, including their unborn offspring at every stage of their biological development." dim any of the 48 states.
