Mrs. Louise Jenning and children of Lepanto spent Sunday here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Barnes. Mrs. Carrie Jones of Horatio, Ark., is visiting her son, Norman James, and family.' Odell Williams, who Is stationed at Milllngton. spent the weekend here with relatives. Mrs. Mary Ellen James left Saturday for Texarkana to attend the funeral of her grandmother. Mrs. Nell McArthur returned Tuesday from California where she had been visiting her brother. Miss Bobby Mann of Memphis •pent the weekend here' with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wooten of Stamps, Ark., and son, Carol Lee Wooten, and Mrs. Wooten, 'on their way to New York, where he is stationed, spent the weekend at Bassett with Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Wooten, and also visited friends in Dyess, Mrs. C. F. Wells and daughter, Mrs. Margeria Willingham, and daughter. Nlccl. of Memphis, visited here Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Rice and children of Arbyrd, Mo., visited Sunday night in the home of Odis Rice. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Jordon and children from northern Missouri spent Sunday here as guests of Mr. and Mrs. S. O. Davis, M. J. Dallas and Mrs. Clifford Purvis of Memphis visited Tuesday in the Fred Dallas' home.
