brothers was honored yesterday afternoon at the Elks memorial service held at the New National Theater It was the tventy sixth annual meeting of the kind held under the auspices of Washington Lodge No 15 In hushed silence the roll of the dead was called and the names flashed on a screen On a large electric cross was a white light for each deceased member of the local lodge since its founding while a smaller cross of purple lights within the larger represented Washington Elks who have died within the past year Nineteen Dead in Year There wene nineteen of the latter one of whom Henry Goodman to officials of the bureau of markets are resulting in the breaking of high prices in practically every Eastern market present conditions indicating that within the next few weeks many commodities will drop to prewar prices In previous years the market has been higher in December than aby other month due to increased cost of shipping At the present time prices on many vegetables and meats are view of the many experts used by Industrial companies during the war is involved in the case of Ttiefkin against the Du Pont le Nemours Company of Delaware which will probable go on trial today in District Supreme Court Riefkin alleges that he obtained 3168000 tons of bituminous coal and 41000 tons of anthracite for the defendant a service which if paid on te basis of the commission allowed by
