Mary Pat plans to continue her start in a fashion career, beginning next fall at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and then perhaps transferring to a specialized school of fashion later. Clothes are as much a part of a teen-age girl's life as records, high school, Cokes and boys.

It's a fun thing where a young lady can express herself in her unique half-girl, half-woman world. Also a part of the teen girl's world is a part-time job. And when that job Involves working with fashion, it combines extra cash with fun and "growing" experiences. Miss Mary Pat McCarty, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Neil McCarty, 601 W. Wisconsin Kaukauna, is a second -year member of Prange's Teen Board and the store representative on the Bobbie Brooks National Fashion Board. For the Kaukauna High School senior, this is more than just a job after school and weekends. Scholarship Prize Since October Mary Pat has been Involved, with about 200 other national representatives, in competition for a $5,000 first place scholarship award presented annually by the sponsoring manufacturer of junior clothing.
