WTiitwiitown, Crawford County, Ark.) May. 1836. Cuts. The Gazette will insert the above till the day of sale, and forward its account. TOWN OF THE proprietors will offer for sale, Lots in the new town of OZAItK, situated on tho north bank (at the Great North Bend) of the Arkansas river, in latitude 35 degrees fcnd 30 minutes, and longitude 17 degrees, in the rich and populous county of Crawford, A.

T. on Ike 4A day of July, ISrC. The site is 30 feet above the highest overflow, commanding a fine and picturesque yiew of tho river, with two never failing eprings of the purest water. In a commercial point of view, there is no situation, above the mouth of Arkansas, possessing more advantages surrounded by a rich and fertile region, extending some 'JO or 3 miles in length, by 15 or 20 in breadth, of the richest hickory barrens, the most productive cotton lands in the west of Arkansas. This point must command the trade of the fertile and populous counties of Washington and Carroll and a large portion of Crawford and Johnson.

It is a little cast of south from Fayelteville, the flourishing county scat of Washington county, and by fir the most practicable point for Carroll county, and the adjoining counties in Missouri. It is the great crossing from the western part of Missouri to Red river, and the most direct practicable route. It is a few miles below tho White Oak Shoals, the most difficult pass on tho river. Tho merchants in the north western part of Arkansas would save freight and carriage by depositing at this placd. A fine road will be completed this summer, direct from Fayettcville to Ozark, a distance of 50 miles.

The road from Ozark to Red river will also be repaired aud made passable for carriages, Arc. Tho Lots will be laid off before the day of sale, and a plan exhibited. A credit of 0, 12, 18 and 24 months, will bo given. Indisputable title will be made by tho proprietor A. YELL, DAVID WALKER, Prnnritlori.

WM. HAILE, Ozark, Crawford County, A. April 12, 1S30 1-llHv THE OP IS situated in Crawford county, on tho left bmk of the Arkansas river, about five hundred and fifty miles from the Mississippi, by the course of the river, and a few miles below tho Indian boundary line. Tha im-. mediate situation is picturesque and pleasing to tho eye, easily approachable by the roads, unusually elevated for a position on the margin of the river-rindcod, a portion of tho townsite is a high and commanding eminence with an abundant and never-failing supply of tha most palatable and the purest water.

8team-boat navigation to this poiot, and for some distauco above, is as safe and as sure as out river affords; its extension to any great "distance above is precarious, uncertain and not to bo relied on. Van Buren has more extensive regions of back country to support it, beyond all shadow t( competition, than any other point or place en this river, or in the Territory, known to th writeY. The contiguous settlements of Lee's creek and Frog Bayou have here their trade. The largo, populous and agricultural county of Washington, in this Territory, must resort to Van Buren as the point of ein-karkation for her produco, and must seek hor essential articles from the same quarter i with equal truth, and with equal po-eitiveuess, may tho same remarks be mado of sonth-westorn Missouri, so rapidly advancing in numbers, in means and in wants; To add another weighty item in the list of advantages, tho projected United States road, now in train of execution, froin Jackson, in 1bwrcnce county, by the county scat of Izard and Washington, oroeses tho Arkansas river at Van Buren. The proprietor invitos the morchant, the the capitalist generally, and all jpcrsons of enterprizc and energy of character, to make investments in tins town, conscious that they will meet with on early ond adequate requital for amount advanced or exertion applied.
