She has 30 grandchildren and 72 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at at the Minersville 1st ward Chapel. Leslie Evelyn Cottam Hardy (Sonya Smith) and their daughter Natasha; Mary Kay Greene Piatt (Russell) and their children Katherine Kay Piatt Marshall (Alex) and their daughter Kimi Kay, Joseph Russell Piatt, Daniel Thomas Piatt and Anne Marie Piatt. He loved and guided his family with wisdom, love and steadfast support.

He gave the same attention to nieces and nephews and his sister-in-law Marianne Buchanan. The family wishes to thank the Court personnel and the many medical professionals who have made it possible for Thomas to manage his illness and live with a quality of life since he was diagnosed with cancer in September 2001. We also appreciate the love and caring of his longtime aides Jorge E. Zapata, Ta-mara Fitzgerald, Corey Ot-tesen and Joan Scow. President Ronald Reagan appointed Judge Greene to the United States District Court as a Judge for the District of Utah in 1985. He served in that capacity for 23 years, taking Senior Status in 1997, at which time he continued to hear cases on a limited basis. His judicial career was preceded by a 30-year law practice, beginning as a sole practitioner.

He served as Assistant U.S.. Attorney for the District of Utah and then affiliated with the firm Marr, Wilkins and Cannon, which after several mergers and changes became Greene, Callister and Ne-beker, the firm's name at the time of Judge Greene's appointment to the Federal Bench. Thomas served his clients in his law practice with competence and compassion and was respected by his legal associates. He was elected Utah State Bar President in 1970. He was also active in the American Bar Association, where he served for 1 7 years in the House of Delegates, as a Delegate at Large, as the designated Utah State Bar Delegate, and finally as a member of the ABA Board of Governors.

His work with the Utah State Bar was extensive. He was a member of the American Inns of Court. Other involvements included serving as chairman of the Community Services Council, President of the Utah State Building Board, and as a member of the Utah State Board of Thomas cherished and honored his membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He treasured his experiences as a missionary in the New England States under President S. Dilworth Young, where he learned the value of country trading without "purse or script." He cherished and honored his country and believed in and served under the Rule of Law.

Judge Greene was a mentor to 42 Law Clerks. He reveled in their accomplishments and enjoyed continued association with them throughout his life. He received many awards and honors during his lifetime, the most recent being a recipient of the 201 0 Alumnus of the Year Award from the University of Utah College of Social and Behavioral Science. Thomas married Kay Buchanan in 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple and is the father of three children: Thomas Buchanan Green (Maria Sgambati) and their sons Jackson and Harrison; John Buchanan Greene -I "4 i MINERS-VILLE -Reva Hollingshead Albrecht passed away peacefully surrounded by her fam ily and returned home to her sweetheart on February 14, 2011. Reva was born November 20, 1918 in Minersville, Utah to Stephen Barton and Alta Lydia Marshall Hollingshead.

Reva married David Milton Albrecht on December 26, 1939 in the St. George LDS Temple. They have seven children: Lellon, Douglas, Richard, Calvin, Ranae, Jill and Russell. She had 30 grandchildren and 72 great grandchildren, which she enjoyed and loved. They were the light of her life.

Reva taught school for 23 years in Beaver and Minersville. She loved teaching and was known as "A Favorite Teacher" to many. She served as a 4-H leader for many years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her service included callings in the Relief Society, MIA and Primary.

Reva and her husband, Milton, served a full time mission in the Arizona Holbrook Mission and were also ordinance workers in the St. George Temple form 1986 to 1999. She had a strong testimony. She shared the gospel through her example and many acts of kind service to others. Reva and Milton enjoyed traveling all over the United States and into Mexico and Canada.

They attended the Hill Cumorah Pageant and visited all the church historical sites. Reva enjoyed writing poetry and history. She helped write the Minersville history book and compiled her own family history book. She was also instrumental in compiling the George and Rachael Thrower Marshall History Book. She enjoyed making quilts, and special gifts for her family.

Great times were enjoyed out west, gathering cattle, picking pine nuts and getting wood. She enjoyed all sports and camping in the mountains with her husband and family. Holidays and birthdays were special occasions at her house with her family. Everyone was always welcome at Moms house and no one left hungry. She was the first child of 10 born to Owen Cottam and Evelyn Roper. Leslie lived in Las Vegas, Nevada with her husband Ronald and 3 children before moving to Cedar City in 1987. Leslie is survived by her husband Ronald Leonard Hardy and her 3 children; Ronald Warren Hardy, his wife Susan of Cedar City, Utah; Rebecca Hardy Farley and her husband Joseph of Novato, California; Robert Owen Hardy and his wife Marilee of Albuquerque New Mexico; 14 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

Leslie spent her life sharing what ever she had with friends, family and strangers. Her compassion for human suffering, her awareness of the needs of others, close family ties and LDS upbringing allowed her to share her bounties of life with love. Leslie will be sorely missed by all who knew her. She was well loved by her family, friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February Judge John Thomas Greene, gave up his nine-year battle with Multiple My eloma on February 11, 2011.

Thomas was born in Salt Lake City on Thanksgiving Day, November 28, 1929, to John Thomas and Mary Agnes (Mayme) Hindley Greene, who predeceased him. He grew up in a loving home with sisters Mary Jean (Mick, dec.) Gallacher and Beverly (Carl) Jungst. His home was a welcoming place to his many aunts, uncles and other extended family members. His mother, father and Uncle Reid (Clara) Hindley filled his life with ballads, songs and humor that embellished his personality and enriched his life. It was in this environment he learned his core values that served him throughout his life.

Tom was an enthusiastic student at East High School and was always involved in leadership positions and tennis and debate. He has maintained lifelong friendships with his East High classmates. Thomas was graduated from the University of Utah as a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Owl and Key. He treasured his membership in Pi Kappa Alpha and would sing any and all of the fraternity songs at first invitation. He especially loved singing with his lifelong friend Burton Cassity.

He served on the of Debate team with distinction, winning national debate titles. Judge Greene received his Law Degree from the University of Utah in 1 955, where he was a Law Review editor and was awarded the Order of the Coif upon graduation. are under the direction of Spilsbury Mortuary, St. George, 673-2454. Gail Lynch Gail Elizabeth Lynch, 74, passed away Feb.

13 at her home in Hurricane. She was born in San Francisco to Charles Willis and Edith Lange. She is survived by her daughter, Suzanne (Richard) Warren and two grandchildren. Gail was preceded in death by her mother, Edith. A viewing will be Thursday from 9:30 to 10:15 a.m.

Ferdinando passed away on Valentine's Day with his sweet heart, Mill, of 70 plus years by his side. He was born in Durango, Colorado on October 12, 1918 and grew up on a ranch in Falfa, Colorado. He volunteered to go to the Navy and after his initial training, was assigned to the USS Arizona. Herman transferred from Battleship Arizona to the Cruiser Mar-blehead two weeks before the attack on Pearl Harbor. When he was released from the Navy, he went to work as a auto mechanic.

He later joined the Salinas Fire where he worked until his retirement. From there he moved to St. George in 1993. He and his future wife, Mili, were friends when he was growing up in Durango and they later married in Salinas, CA on October 14, 1946. He is survived by his wife, Mildred; three sons: Barry (Beronica), Daniel and Vance; his brother, Anthony; three grandsons; and one granddaughter.

Herman will be remembered as a loving husband, a good father and grandfather, a great sense of humor and as a hard worker. Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Metcalf Mortuary Chapel, 288 West St. George St. George, Utah.
