She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, active in Relief Society, Stake Drama, and Primary. She was also a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Elsie is survived by her five children; Maurine Fronckowiak, Amherst, New York; Adrienne (Mike) Thomas, Pleasant Grove, Utah; Carolyn Whitney, Rupert, Idaho; Rosalyn (Jeff) Dalebout, Salt Lake City; Matt (Linda) Alder, Salt Lake City; 27 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, husband, son (Jerome), two grandchildren (Robin and Shelley Anne), and one great- grandchild (Ashley).

Funeral services were held Friday November 14, 2003 in the chapel at Mountain View Memorial Mortuary, 3115 E. 7800 So. (Bengal Interment Mountain View Memorial Cemetery. resided for the past two years. Jackie was a very outgoing person and was always there to help anyone in need.

She devoted her life to her family. Jackie is survived by her mother of Lehi; step-son: Andy (Tina) Madsen of Draper; sons: Steve (Dean-na) Madsen of Salina; Robert (Heather) Madsen of Cedar City; Jason Willden of Greenwich; sister Bobby J. Madsen of Lehi; brother: John Gooch of Douglas, WY; 7 grandchildren: Jesse Madsen, Shelbie Madsen, Katelin Madsen, Kara Madsen, Ashley Madsen, Kodee Willden, Lewis Willden and a grandson, Richard Madsen is due in December. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse O. Gooch; her husband, 'Lewis A.

Madsen; daughter, daughter: Marti L. Willden; granddaughter, Skyler J. Willden; and three infant sons. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2003 at 12 Noon in the Koosharem LDS Ward Chapel. Married Donald Benson Alder June 9, 1934. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Don and Elsie spent 59 wonderful years together. Elsie's talents were considerable. She was a professional genealogist who was sought after by many for her widespread knowledge in this field.

She was a published author. She was gifted in applying theatrical makeup and costuming for Promised Valley Playhouse and other drama groups. Her specialty was clown faces. Elsie and Don were members of the old Salt Lake Theater Group, formerly The Deseret Players and participated together in many plays. Elsie loved to paint with watercolors and composed poetry for her family.

She was a gracious hostess to 12, 2003 at the home of her mother in Lehi, Utah of complications from surgery. She was born August 3, 1951 in American Fork, Utah, a daughter of Jesse O. and Mary Jane Jacklin Gooch. She graduated from Lehi High School, Class of 1969. She married Lewis Andrew Madsen, July 2, 1971 in Alpine, Utah.

He died May 18, 2002. Jackie was an EMT and served on the ambulance in Lehi, Koosharem and Sali-na, Utah for over twenty years. She enjoyed being an EMT and loved saving lives. Jackie worked at Kennecott Copper Mine as a security guard and as a CPR instructor. She enjoyed hunting and fishing and riding her four-wheelers and liked going to her time-share condos in Mexico and Mesquite, NV.

She also enjoyed quilting, sewing and crocheting. After moving from Lehi, Jackie and Lewis moved to Koosharem, where they made many special and lasting friendships. Because of Lewis' health problems, they had to move to Salina, where Jackie has Central, Bannock County, Idaho, a daughter of Carl John and Annie Elizabeth Qualman Hegstrom. On July 3, 1936, Vivian married Fred Leslie Beckett in Coalville, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple on June 24, 1978.

Fred preceded her in death on November 21, 2001. She received her formal education in Central, Idaho and completed Certified Professional Seamstress courses in Ogden. She lived in Wendover, Nevada for three years and in the Ogden area for the past 71 years. Vivian was a. member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as a Sunday School Teacher in Central, Idaho; a Sunday School Coordinator in the Ogden 34th Ward for 17 years, and as a Visiting Teacher and Visiting Teacher Supervisor.

She began her career as a professional seamstress working at the Quinn Garment Factory. She later worked at Defense Depot of Ogden for 22 years, retiring on December 30, 1983. She received many awards for accident-free work performance, zero defects honor roll and performing assigned duties in an exemplary manner. Vivian enjoyed gardening, sewing, family activities, ballroom dancing, and most of all, the company of little children. Surviving are two sons and one daughter, Vernon ter-in-law, Ramona Beckett, Bountiful; 11 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are one brother and two Harold (Curly) Hegstrom, Ogden; Evelyn Taylor, Declo, ID; Willadene (Ted) Smith, Thatcher, ID. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, son, Lawrence S. Beckett, three brothers, Melvin, Willis and Orion Hegstrom, and eight sisters, Annie Hegstrom, Annetha Hansen, Alvera Castle-main, Lillie Clearly, Luella Anderson Fewks, Velma Newton, Laura Pack and Marlene Broadbent. jThe family would like to extend a special thanks to the caring staff of Crest-wood Care Center and Vista Care Hospice for their loving care and support for our mother. Leaving on May 27, 2003, for Wood River, in the St. Louis, Missouri Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ryan served 6 months with the wonderful people of that town. He wrote often of the joy and love of serving and sharing the gospel with them. Ryan is a very loving, kind, young man, always wanting the most out of life and to please those around him. He dearly loves his friends and family, especially his younger brother Michael, who is also his best friend.
