File photoBob White TIMELINE- Anthony Moscatiello, 67 A former associate of Gambino crime boss John Gotti, Moscatiello has a criminal history that dates back more than two decades, when he was arrested with Gotti's brother, Gene, and 1 1 others as part of a massive heroin trafficking conspiracy in New York. According to federal court papers, Moscatiello, Angela Ruggiero and others threatened witnesses in a grand jury investigation and were involved in racketeering, narcotics trafficking, harboring a fugitive and laundering money. A subsequent trial resulted in a hung jury after allegations that jurors had been intimidated and threatened, and federal prosecutors dropped the charges against Moscatiello in 1989.

He struck up a friendship with Kidan in New York in 1991. Moscatiello, his daughter Jennifer, and his company, Gran-Sons, received $145,000 in consulting fees from former SunCruz owner Adam Kidan shortly after Kidan bought the business from Boulis. Moscatiello was a longtime friend of Gotti, the notorious and flamboyant head of the Gambino crime family who dodged prison several times amid allegations of jury tampering before finally being convicted. The men grew up in Howard Beach, Queens, where Moscatiello was arrested Tuesday. It was a strained relationship at times, and John Gotti was caught on a federal wiretap threatening to kill Moscatiello, according to excerpts published in The New York Times and Time magazine in 1989.

The reason? Moscatiello was slow returning phone calls. "What, I got to reach out for you three days in (expletive) advance?" Gotti said, then raised the threat. "Let me tell you something. I need an example. Don't you be the (expletive) example.

Do you understand me? This is not a (expletive) game. My time is valuable. If I ever hear anybody else calls you and you respond within five days, I'll (expletive) kill you." Anthony little Ton Ferrari, 48 Born in New York, he has spent considerable time in New Jersey and Miami, developing a reputation as a tough man with a short temper. In 1999; Tampa Bay-area attorney Edward C. Vining accused Ferrari of assaulting and threatening to kill him after Vining filed a lawsuit against Ferrari associates, according to Miami-Dade court records.

A Miami-Dade County judge banned Ferrari from even attending depositions and eventually ordered Ferrari and his partners to pay $20,000 in damages. In depositions for that case, Ferrari said he had been arrested several times for things "in connection with a checkbook." He said he "pleaded guilty to save a friend of mine" and was put on probation in New Jersey. He was arrested at least three other times over the next three years on similar charges. Ferrari and his company, Moon Over Miami, collected at least $95,000 from Kidan for SunCruz security. Ferrari does not have a license in Florida to operate a security firm.

According to Tuesday's indictment, Ferrari also solicited another man, Dwayne Nicholson, to kill Boulis about four months before the murder. For the past four years, Ferrari and his wife, Yesenia, have lived in Clearview Towers, a 14-story, 122-unit condo in Miami Beach where units cost up to $300,000. Janitor Alrick Manna said he drove three or four cars and had two small children. Ferrari could often be seen walking a small dog, the janitor said. "I have no problem with him," Manna said.

"He doesn't talk a lot, he goes and comes, but he does say hello." James 'Pudgy7 Fiorillo, 28 With no known criminal record, Fiorillo was a friend and protege of Ferrari's. He grew up in New Jersey and has lived in North and Central Florida for several years, but he lost contact with his family in recent years, said his mother, Deborah Fiorillo. "I adopted him as a baby, and he was a real good kid. Never had any problems at all," Deborah Fiorillo said Tuesday. "I can't believe he's been charged with murder.

This is just too much to take." James Fiorillo played basketball as a teen but didn't show much interest in work, and his mother said she never knew him to have a job. He has lived in Palm Coast, north of Daytona Beach, for about a year. He was arrested Tuesday morning at his home and is expected to make a court appearance Wednesday. each other.
