Clyde Mitchell, Cliffwood avenue, entermembers her club at the home of her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Maier, Van Horn street. Bridge followed at three tables. Rev. Mr.

Giffin And Miss Rankin Plan Wedding Miss Sara Rankin, daughter of Mrs. Sadie Rankin of near Bloomfield, will become the bride of Rev. Rodney W. Giffin, also of Bloomfield at the Bloomfield United Presbyterian church at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon, Sept. 5.

Dr. Mark Roy, New Concord, will officiate. Rev. Mr. Giffin, the son of Mr.

and Mrs. W. A. Giffin of Bloomfield, formerly of Wheeling, W. served the Bloomfield church since 1930.

He is a graduate Muskingum college, New Concord, and of the Pittsburgh Theological seminary. Following the wedding he will assume his new pastorate at Rye Gate, Vermont. Miss Rankin, also a graduate of Muskingum college, is a member of the Bloomfield church. She has been teaching at Pike school. The bride-elect has asked her sister, Mrs.

John Porter of Toronto, to be her matron of honor. Another sister, Miss Ethel Rankin and Miss Margaret Morrow, both of Bloomfield, will be bridesmaids. A. K. Griffith of Huntington, W.

will be his brother's best man and ushers will be two classmates of the Rev. Mr. Giffin at the seminary, Rev. C. A.

Barnes, Burgholz, and Rev. H. F. McAllister, Mt. Perry.

Preceding ceremony Miss Martha Roy, pianist, will present bridal music, and vocal numbers will be presented. Following the wedding members of the immediate families will be entertained with a reception at. the Rankin home. Later the couple will leave for a wedding trip. They will establish their home at Rye, Gate.

Officers Named By Mason Clan Officers were elected when descendants of Dr. and Mrs. R. G. Mason, Duncan met at Putnam Hill park Sunday.

They follow: Mrs. Bertha Mason Hyser, honorary president; Mrs. Alice Gray, acting president: Charles M. Crumbaker, vice president; Miss Adella Crumbaker, secretary; Eugene Mason, treasurer; and Mrs. Nettie Mason historian.

Mrs. Few presented a brief history of Dr. Mason and his family, Dr. Mason was born in Connecticut and came to this vicinity when A young man. After serving as a physician at Brush Creek.

Initiation Planned Rough initiation for Sigma Delta Pi sorority will precede the formal ceremonial to be held on September 14.
