Alice M. Steigerwalt Alice M. Steigerwalt, 84, of Palmerton, died May 9 in her home. She was the wife of the late Willard A. Steigerwalt.

Born in Aquashicola, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Cope) Blose. She was a homemaker and a longtime member of First United Church of Christ, Palmerton. Survivors: Sons, Philip of Palmerton, Ronald of Oakland, daughters, Mrs. Patricia Jones, Carol, wife of Robert Gruber, and Mrs. Gail Berger, all of Palmerton, Linda, wife of Darryl Fritzinger of Lehighton; 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson.

She was the wife of Truman W. Marsh, who died in 1982. Born in Lower Nazareth she was a daughter of the late Thomas A. and Mary K. (Boyer) Billheimer.

She was a practical nurse for many" years in the Nazareth area, and also worked for Gracedale in the same capacity for several years. She was a life member of St. John's U.C.C. Church, Nazareth, and a member of its Women's Association. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 252, Nazareth.

She was also a former grand templar of the Ladies of the Golden Eagle. Survivors: Daughter, Mrs. Gloria M. Werkheiser of Nazareth; 2 granddaughters, Mary Robert Zartler of Nazareth, Carol Rick Hilborn, of Nazareth; 4 greatgranddaughters, Lauren Hilborn, Nicole Zartler, Ariane Hilborn, Heather Zartler, all of Nazareth; nieces. She is the last of her family.

Please sign Guest Book on mcall.com/obits Theresa E. Csikai Theresa E. Csikai, 88, of Bethlehem, died Saturday, May 8, 2004 in her residence. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Josef and Katie (Horvath) Sauer. Theresa was also preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Csikai.

Theresa retired in 1978 after working for 40 years as a sewing machine operator for several companies in the area. She is a member of the I.L.G.W.U. Survivors: She is survived by her son, Nicholas J. Csikai, husband of Sharon of Bethlehem; sister, Elizabeth Reynolds of Bethlehem; granddaughters, Susan Krasulick of Fogelsville, Ellen Csikai of Tuscaloosa, grandson, David Csikai of Jacksonville, great-grandchildren, Amanda, Anna, and Nicholas. Please sign Guest Book on mcall.com/obits Dorothy Hodgson Smith Dorothy (Little) Hodgson Smith, 70, a resident of East Rockhill for more than 40 years, died early Sunday morning, May 9, 2004 in the VNA Hospice at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of Lamar Smith and was preceded in death by husband, Edward E.

Hodgson Sr. in May of 1987. Mrs. Smith was born July 6, 1933 in Philadelphia. Along with her late husband, she was co-owner of the former Hodgson's General Store, Sellersville, Hodgson's Clothing Store, Sellersville and Hodgson's Furniture Store, Quakertown.

She was a longtime member of Quakertown United Methodist Church and a devoted mother and grandmother who loved working with children and enjoyed dancing. Survivors: Husband; children, Edward E. Hodgson Jr. and his wife JoAnne of Franconia, Mary Alice Grillo and her husband Samuel of Sellersville, Richard J. Hodgson of San Diego, Pamela J.

Wilkins and her husband George of Allentown, Patricia J. Wynne and her husband Mark of Bethlehem; 10 grandchildren; brothers, Roy Little and his wife Kay of Maple Shade, N.J., Phil Little and his wife Lois of Langhorne; sister, Claire Schrandt of Newtown. Services: Relatives and friends are invited to attend her service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 12 in Quakertown United Methodist Church, 1875 Freier Road, Quakertown. Interment will follow in Sellersville Cemetery.

He was the son of the late John Francis Healy and Norma Healy Schimmel. A graduate of Freedom High School, Terry received his associate's degree and LPN certificate from NCCC and completed his RN at Mulhenburg College. During his nursing career, he worked for several area hospitals including Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia and St. Mary's Medical Center, Langhorne. Prior to his recent illness, Terry worked as a traveling nurse, allowing him to pursue his chosen profession while enjoying the opportunity to experience living in many different areas of the country.

Survivors: He is survived by his loving family: Kas Healy of King Cove, Kevin Healy of Bethlehem, Richard Healy of Allentown, Judy Healy Leiby of Mount Plymouth, Michael Healy of New York City; nieces, nephews; his dear friend Barbara Compton of Missoula, and the Donald Carpenter family of Lansdale. Reichenbach, 89, of Orefield, died Sunday in Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Arlene M. (Rauch) Reichenbach. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Banks R. Reichenbach Sr.

and Lillie (Eisenhart) Reichenbach. He was a truck driver for the former Air Freight for 15 years retiring in 1978. He was the owner of the former Reichenbach ESSO Station, Kuhnsville, 1949-57. He was a mechanic and truck driver for Mack Trucks Inc. and Suburban Bus for many years.

William J. Riggs Betty M. Ressler Betty M. Ressler, 75, of Coplay, died Saturday, May 8, 2004 in St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown Campus.

She was the wife of the late Edward C. Ressler Sr. Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Dorothy (Beck) Miller. She worked for the former A Meats, Allentown, for many years before retiring. She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, 9th and Lincoln Avenue, Northampton, and a member of its Women's Guild.

Survivors: Daughters, Gail M. Miller of Catasauqua, Sharon A. Roth of Coplay; sons, Edward C. Jr. of Macungie, Kenneth C.

He was the husband of the late Eleanore A. (Sherman) Szakacs. He worked in the research department for the former New Jersey Zinc Palmerton, for 44 years, retiring in 1978.

Born in Palmerton, he was a son of the late Alexander and Suzanna (Sule) Szakacs, one of 14 children. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Palmerton. An Army Air Corps veteran of World War II, he rose to the rank of staff sergeant. He was a past commander of Mader Gaydos American Legion Post 269, Palmerton, and a member of the Palmerton Hungarian Club.

Survivors: Daughter, Karen, wife of Terry Heiney, of Lehighton; a grandson; 2 stepgranddaughters; a great-grandson; brother, Ernest Saks of Sequim, sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Souilliere of Taylor, Mich. Services: memorial, 7 p.m. Wednesday, St. John's U.C.C., 880 Columbia Palmerton.

He was a self-employed flooring contractor, owning Riggs Flooring of Quakertown. He was a member of the Sellersville Moose. He was an avid race fan and Philadelphia Eagles Football fan. He also enjoyed muscle cars and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Survivors: In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Jason and a daughter, Heather L.

Wright, both of Quakertown; brothers, Ed and his wife Mary in North Carolina, James and his wife Wanda of Sellersville, and Robert; sister, Dorothy, wife of Julian Marchini of Perkasie; grandson, Ethan Wright; several nieces, nephews. Services: memorial, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 15, 2004 in Quakertown Evangelical Church, 317 Juniper Quakertown. There will be no calling hours. A memorial picnic will be held at his residence following the memorial service.
