Jaycettes Plan Christmas Pageant peop munity projects the group supports during the year and at Christmas. The Jackson Sun, Jackson, Tennessee, Thursday, October 1 9, 1 978 NOW Group Attends Meeting Besides the selection of a beau and belle, first, and second runners-up and an alternate will be chosen. The winners will ride in the Christmas parade Nov. 25. The alternate will participate in the parade in the absence of one of the other winners.

A $5 entry fee must accompany all applications which can be obtained at most local children's clothing stores. The child's name and birth date, parents' names, phone number and registration fee also can be mailed to' the Madison Counfy Jaycettes, P.O. Box 3307, Jackson, 38301. Special speakers were Sen. Edward Kennedy, Coretta Scott King, Representative Don Edwards, Veronica Murdock, president of the National Congress of American Indians; and Elisa Sanchez, president of Mexican American Women's National Association. Mary Jo, Jackie and Lynn all noted that each year the number of men and minorities who attend the conference as members and voting delegates has increased. This year, Lynn was the alternate voting delegate for the Jackson chapter. brough Dunlap were hosts at a Friday night party after the victory over Dyer County. Helping the Dunlaps to entertain at their spacious new home on Main Street in Humboldt were other OHA parents, Mary and Robert Rooke, Mary Alice and Jim Crenshaw, Suzanne and Ed Labry, Dee and Bob Granning, and Emily and Jim Lewis. Fans who arrived early were given cups of hot chocolate and coffee and asked to wait until the "honorees," the tired, hungry and victorious players arrived to fill their plates at the buffet. Off the circle drive, a large goal post covered in the school colors of red, white and blue had been placed at the front entry of the house. The buffet table was covered with streamers in the same colors and centered with a red OHA football helmet filled with white chrysanthemums.

Varsity co-captains leading their teammates through the serving line and heaping their plates with gargantuan amounts of barbecue and salads were Carl Barton, Jimmy Crenshaw, Roger Lewis and James Townsend. Other players there were Mike Thomas, Patrick Rooke, Harvey Wyatt, Joel Haynes, Chris Craig, John Hickey, Larry Hall, James Taylor, John Pearson, Kent Griggs, Ed Labry. The 1978-79 officers of the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association are James D. Todd, president; Edwin E. Wallis vice president; and W. Stan Harris, secretary-treasurer.
