B-20 SUNDAY CALL-CHRONICLE, JULY 10, 1983 Lehigh County lists Harry C. Dent 100; ran hardware store in Fullerton 46 years DEATHS Leah F. Billich Leah'F. Billich, 60, of Whitehall Township, died Friday in her home. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Laura M.

(Bortz) Kurtz. She worked in the trust department of First National Bank of Allentown for two years before retiring in 1973. Before that, she was chief operator for Bell Telephone of Pennsylvania in Allentown and Lancaster for 28 years. She was president of the Bell Telephone Pioneers, Allentown. Billich was a member of Dubb's Memorial United Church of Christ, Allentown.

She was a Navy WAVE during World War II. Billich was Allentown's women's tennis champion in 1941. Surviving are a brother, Clyde R. Kurtz Jr. of Dauphin, Dauphin County; two sisters, Jacquelyn, wife of Carl Doll, and Shirley, wife of Robert Lamson, both of Allentown.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland Allentown. Calling hours will be p.m. Monday. Paul H.

Heffner, 79; Hamburg's King Frost Paul H. Heffner, 79, of 535 S. Fifth Hamburg, the man who reigned as King Frost in Hamburg's annual King Frost Parade for 17 years, died Friday in Laurel Nursing Center, Til-den Township. He was the husband of the late Kathryn E. (Walters) Heffner.

Heffner protrayed King Frost for the Hamburg Jaycees, the parade sponsors, 1964-81. In 1935, He was vice president of the committee that revived the traditional King Frost celebration. The parade had been discontinued, 1926-34. He also played Santa Claus in the annual borough Christmas parade sponsored by the Greater Hamburg Business Association for 17 years before retiring three years ago. Heffner was a member of Hamburg borough council, 1939-57, serving 9h2 years as president.

In 1957, he was elected borough treasurer and served in that post until retiring in 1974. He was a founding member of the first recreation board in Hamburg in 1942. In 1944, Heffner was president of the committee to erect a permanent honor roll of borough residents who served in World War II at State and Second streets. Ten years later, he was instrumental in the borough's search for new sources of water which resulted in the new Hamburg reservoir. In 1971, he received the Thomas F.

Chrostwaite Award from the Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs for his service to the community. He was a clerk at Carpenter Technology Corp. for 17 years before retiring in 1968. Before that, he was a grillman at the former Trexler's Bus Station, Hamburg, 1941-51. Born in Hamburg, he was a son of the late Howard A.

and Catherine (Luckenbill) Heffner. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Hamburg. Heffner was director emeritus of St. John's Cemetery Association, Hamburg.

Surviving are a son, Paul H. Jr. of Reading and a daughter, Mary Alice, at home; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The M. Domer Leibensperger Funeral Home, Hamburg, is in charge of arrangements.

He was the husband of Isabel (Spalluto) Leonhardt.

He was vice president of the company for the past two years. Before that, he was vice president of sales at M. Schaefer Brewing New York, 1975-81, and territory manager and regional manager for the company's Lehigh Valley brewery, 1969-75. Born in Sheboygan, he was a son of the late Godfrey and Maria Leonhardt. He was a member of St.

Bridget's Catholic Church, Stamford, Conn. Leonhardt was an Army veteran of World War II. Surviving with his widow are a son, Robert and a daughter Christine, both at home; five sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Karlie, Mrs. Marie Fister and Mrs.

Reinert, 75, of Alburtis R.l died Saturday in his home. Born in Longswamp Township, he was a son of the late Walter P. and Victoria S. (Jacobs) Reinert. He was a lift truck operator for the Atlas Mineral and Chemical Mertztown, for many years before retiring in 1973.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Carrie M. Moll of Mertztown R.2 and Mrs. Elda Derr of Mertztown R.l; a brother, Warren E. of Lyons, and a niece Geraldine, wife of Oliver P.

Miller, with whom he resided. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Trexler-Ludwick Funeral Home, 25 E. Weis Topton. A calling hour will precede the services.

Robert A. Snyder Robert A. Snyder, 92, of 1761 Was-sergass Road, Hellertown, died Friday in St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Maude J.

(Quier) Snyder. The couple was married 67 years. He was a farmer and also worked in the coke division of Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 48 years, before retiring. Born in Forks Township, he was a son of the late Charles and Mary (Werner) Snyder.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Hellertown. Surviving with his widow are two sons. Walter of Hellertown R.l and Carl of Lehigh Acres, four grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m.

"Butch" Rutt. 69, of 595 S. 6th Bangor, died Friday in Muhlenberg Medical Center, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Ethel (LaBar) Rutt. He was employed by Country Miss Clothes Outlet, Forks Township, for many years before retiring in 1977.

Born in Bangor, he was a son of the late Floyd and Irene (Rasley) Rutt. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bangor. Surviving with his widow are a son. Arthur F. of Pen Argyl; two sisters, Mona and Marion, and a brother Von.

He retired as president of the former Dent Hardware Ful lerton, in 1956 after 46 years service. Five months ago, Dent celebrated his birthday at the Leonardo da Vinci Horse Dome, Breinigsville, which is being built by his son, Charles C.

of Breinigsville. Many relatives and friends from around the country gathered for the celebration, and Allentown Mayor Joseph Daddona proclaimed the day Harry C. Dent Day in Allentown. Born in Newark, N.J., he was a son of the late Henry H. and Jessie A.

(Roder)Dent. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Allentown, where he was a past trustee and in 1940, was chairman of building renovations. Dent was a former chairman of the Allentown YMCA Boys Commit- tee. Surviving with his son are four other sons, Henry H. of Allentown, John E.

of Las Vegas, Richard D. of Schnecksville and Walter R. of Allentown; three daughters, Jane wife of Roger Enloe of Ardsley, N.Y., Jessie wife of Gen. Earle F. Cook of Arlington, and Mrs.

Gallagher Mrs. Alma L. Gallagher, 81, formerly of Walnut Manor, Allentown, died Saturday in Cedarbrook, Allentown R.2. She was the widow of John J. Gallagher.

She was a beautician before retiring. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Louis J. and Lil-lie (Wenner) Hefell. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena, Allentown.

There are no immediate survivors. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Weber Funeral Home, 1619 Hamilton Allentown. There will be no calling hours. Mrs.

Josephine Pfeiffer Mrs. Josephine Pfeiffer, 90, of 650 Northampton Hellertown, died Saturday in St. Luke's Hospital. She was the widow of Joseph Pfeiffer who died in 1954. Born in Poland, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Spadt.

He worked at the former Giant Portland Cement Manufacturing Egypt, for 42 years before retiring as a superintendent in 1973. Born in Coplay, he was a son of the late Martin J.

Sr. and Eva (Ficek) Podorsky. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Coplay. Podorsky was a director of the former Egypt National Bank, now Merchants National Bank.
