Obituaries ReBalde Brooks Services for Paul ReBalde Brooks, 20, grandson of Fannie L. Brooks of Mercer, were Wednesday in the Catholic chapel at Camp LeJeune, N.C. Burial was in Onslow Memorial Park in Jacksonville, N.C. Paul Brooks A 1984 graduate of Jacksonville Senior High School, he was killed Oct. 31 in an accident in Universal, a family spokeswoman said.

Mclver Funeral Home of Jacksonville was in charge. Charles Robert Seaton McKENZIE Services for Charles Robert Seaton, 51, were today at Union Academy Baptist Church with the Rev. Clayton Joyner officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. "Mr.

Seaton, a of Foamex Products Co. in pronounced employee. dead Sunday morning at Methodist Hospital of McKenzie short illness. A Carroll County native, he was a member of Union Academy Church. Surviving are his wife, Wilmoth Coleman Seaton; a daughter, Janet Wilson of McKenzie; a son, Charles Wayne Seaton of McKenzie; two sisters, Juanita Hicks of Camden and JoAnn 1 Haynes of Huntingdon; two brothers, Gerald Seaton of Eva and J.T.

Seaton of Kentucky; a niece, Janie Daniel of McKenzie; and two granddaughters. Brummitt Funeral Home was in charge. Thomas Townes Ownby McKENZIE Services for Thomas Townes Ownby, 39, will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Henry Baptist Church with the Rev. H.B.

Hudson and the Rev. Ronnie Davidson officiating. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery. Mr. Ownby, who was disabled, died Saturday night at Henry County Medical Center in Paris after a long illness.

The Henry County native was a member of Henry Church. He was the son of the late Bennie R. and Lena Townes Ownby. Surviving are six sisters, Mrs. James Hastings of McKenzie, Mrs.

Clifton Crews of Hollow Rock, Mrs. James Petty of Paris, Mrs. J.W. Edwards of Huntingdon, Beverly Ownby of Memphis and Mrs. Austin Cooper of East Chicago, Ind.

Brummitt Funeral Home is in charge. Fannie Carlton TRENTON Services for Fannie Newton Carlton, 90, were today at Shelton Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Witten officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery in Gibson County. Mrs.

Carlton, widow of Brice Carlton, died early Sunday morning at Gibson General Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Gibson County's Eaton community and a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church. Surviving are three sons, Bob Carlton, Ralph Carlton and Larry Carlton, all of Trenton; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a greatgreat-grandchild. H.K. Beard DYER Services for Hassell Kirkland Beard, 89, were today at Karnes and Son Funeral Home with the Rev.

Jerry Legg officiating. Burial was i in Oakwood Cemetery. Mr. Beard, a retired for Illinois Central Railroad, died Sunday at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after a short illness. The Gibson County native retired from IC (now Illinois Central in 1971.

He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of a lodge for more than 50 years. He was a Baptist. His wife, Sarah Virginia Spence, and a daughter, Madge Milan, are dead. Surviving are a daughter, Marjorie Bynum of Dyer; two sons, John Beard of Dyer and Ben Beard Sr. of Jackson; a brother, Howard Beard of Gatlinburg; a sister, Ollie Bodkins of Trenton; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Emma Castellaw Givens BROWNSVILLE Services for Emma Castellaw Givens, 83, were today at Brownsville Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Aslin officiating. Burial was in Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Givens died early Sunday morning in the emergency room of Haywood Park General Hospital after a sudden illness.

Her husband, John C. Givens, died in 1984. A Haywood County native, she was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Margaret Thompson, Ruth Turner and Cornelia Kendrick, all of Brownsville; two sisters, Flora Tritt and Bertha English, both of Brownsville; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Maxie Dennison Burruss LEXINGTON Services for Maxie Dennison Burruss, 81, will be at 11 a.m.

Tuesday at First Baptist Church with Dr. Hoyt Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery. Mrs. Burruss, a retired schoolteacher, died early Saturday night at Lexington Methodist Hospital after a short illness.

She was the widow of Raleigh Burruss. A Henderson County native, she was a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Linda K. Burruss of Albany, and a brother, E.W. Dennison of Jackson.

James S. Wilder Sr. 96, father of Dr. James S. Wilder Jr.

of Jackson, died Sunday at Shady Grove Seventh-day Adventist Hospital in Gaithersburg, after a short illness. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. Before his retirement in 1965, Mr. Wilder operated a real-estate business in Florida, Maryland and the District of Columbia. He lived in recent years in Washington, D.C.

Besides his son, he leaves a daughter, Dorothy W. Webb of Silver Springs, six grandchildren, Judge James S. Wilder III of Somerville, Judge Robert C. Wilder of Ripley, Shannon W. Hadley of Winchester, Kenneth Webb of Kensington, Wesley Webb of Washington, D.C., and James Webb of Bowie, and eight great -grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Asbury Retirement Village, 301 Russell Gaithersburg, Md. 20760. Wilburn James Mathis CAMDEN Services for Wilburn James Mathis, 75, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Stockdale-Malin Funeral Home with the Rev. Leonard Greer officiating.

Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery near Hollow Rock. Mr. Mathis, a retired painter, died Sunday afternoon at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. A Carroll County native, he lived the past several years in Camden. A World War II veteran, he was a member of the American Legion.

Surviving are his wife, Vera Pinkston Mathis; two daughters, Billie Davis Wesland, and Mary French of Trezevant; three sons, Frank Mathis of Camden, James Mathis of Yuma, and Ray Mathis of Huntingdon; two stepdaughters and a stepson, names and addresses unavailable; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchildren. 6B The Jackson Sun, Jackson, Monday, Nov. 17, 1986 Joseph Marshall High McKENZIE Services for Joseph Marshall High, 79, were today at Gallimore Funeral Home in Gleason with the Rev. Mr. High, a retired farmer, died Saturdav: afternoon at his home after a short illness. A Henry County native, he lived the past several years in the McKenzie area. Surviving are two nephews, Thomas Junior Marsh of Gleason and Jimmy Douglas of Nashville, and a niece, Mary Ann Neal of Nashville. Stella Duckworth SALTILLO- Stella Duckworth, 86, a widow, died Sunday morning at Hardin Home nursing home after a long illness.

Richard Skidmore officiatinfijiss Wright, a homemaker, died Friday morning at Volunteer General Hospital after a short illness. A Martin native, she was a member of Central Baptist Church. Surviving are a brother, Sam Wright of Martin, and several nephews and cousins. Murphy Funeral Home was in charge. Daniel Raymond 'Danny' Cole BRUCETON Services for Daniel Raymond "Danny" Cole, 49, will be at 3 p.m.

Cole, a retired clerk with Seaboard Railroad, died Sunday afternoon at Baptist Hospital in Memphis after a long illness. A Carroll County native, he served in the Air Force for four years. He was a Baptist. Surviving are two sons, Joey Cole and Kenny Cole, both of Anchorage, Alaska; his mother and stepfather, Martha and William A. Grubbs of Bruceton; two sisters, Jo Ann Lusk and Carolyn both of Bruceton; and four brothers, Sammie Cole of Bruceton, Jerry Cole of Camden, Ronald Cole of Coldwater, and Al Cole of Jerrell, Texas.

Bruceton Funeral Home is in charge. Lenora Sisk Scott COUNCE Services for Lenora Sisk Scott, 88, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Shackelford Funeral Home in Savannah. Burial will be in White Sulphur Cemetery at Pickwick Dam. Mrs.

Scott, wife of Wayne Scott, died Sunday morning at her home after a long illness. A Hardin County native, she was a Methodist. Besides her husband, she leaves three brothers, Paul Sick and Dee Sisk, both of Selmer, and Woody Sisk of Henderson; a half sister, Inez Brown of East Prairie, a half brother, William Sisk of Missouri; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. PHYSICIANS' RE NETWORK APPLE PLAN Golden Hendrix Ivy PARSONS Services for Golden Hendrix Ivy, 80, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Parsons Mortuary with Bobby Pinkley officiating.

Burial will be in Center Hill Family Cemetery. Mrs. Ivy died this morning at Decatur County General Hospital after a long illness. Her husband, Alton Ivy, died in June 1985. A Decatur County native, she was a member of Parsons Church of Christ.

Surviving are three sons, Van Ray Ivy and Coleman Ivy, both of Decaturville, and Charles Ivy of Parsons; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren Alfred M. Chancellor BOLIVAR Alfred M. Chancellor, 85, a retired contractor, died Sunday evening at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after a a long illness. Shackelford Funeral Home will announce arrangements. Humboldt to sue insurance firms HUMBODLT -The city of Humboldt is suing two insurance companies in federal court, charging them with misrepresenting the coverage the city bought and failing to pay several claims.

The city filed the lawsuit originally in Gibson County Chancery Court against Trenton Insurance Center Inc. and National Benefit Administrators Inc. in Louisville, seeking $100,000 in damages. Neither insurance firm could be reached for immediate comment. Humboldt's problems with the insurance companies started when they failed to provide coverage for claims in excess of a trust fund formed by the city, Gibson County and Trenton after Humboldt withdrew from the plan, the lawsuit states.

Murder victim buried LEXINGTON Services for Joe Ballard 20, were today at Pafford Funeral Home with the Rev. Beecham officiating. Burial Bobby was in Smith Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Ballard, a mechanic, was found dead, shot seven times, last Tuesday night on the Eaton River Bridge near the Crockett-Gibson county line, Crockett County authorities said.

The Crockett County Sheriff's Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation don't have a motive and are still investigating, Sheriff Neal Klyce said. Mr. Ballard had been helping his father repair a car Tuesday. He left with another person, not mentioning where he was going. A Missouri native, he was the son of Joe "Boss" Ballard Sr.

of Dyersburg and Bonnie Hardin of Lexington. He grew up in Lexington, attended Henderson County schools and lived the past year with his father in Dyer County's Middle City community. Besides his parents, he leaves four brothers, Joel Ballard of Lexington, Jimmy Lynn Ballard and Timmy Lynn Ballard, both of East Tennessee, and Carl Gene Ballard of Arkansas; and three sisters, Gevittia Bailey, Marie Parker and Jerrie Crystal Hardin, all of Lexington.
