She was a member of First United Methodist Church and taught the Elisabeth Lashlee Bible Class for fifty years, which was named in her honor. She attended Humboldt City Schools and was also a graduate of Theodor Bohlmann School of Music in Memphis. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joe P.

Turner. Surviving are her husband, Dr. Turman 0. Lashlee of Humboldt, whom she married in 1932; a son, Turner 0. Miss Jones died Sunday at her residence in Mercer. A native of the Hatchle Station Community, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Viola Murdaugh Jones and was a lifelong resident of Mercer. She received her B. S. degree from Union University and was a schoolteacher for the Madison County School System for forty-five years.

She was a member of the Tennessee Retired Teachers Association. She was a lifelong member of Mercer Baptist Church, was a Sunday School teacher, was active in the W.M.U. and served many years as the church clerk. Surviving are a brother, James S. Jones of Jackson; five nieces, Sherry Boyd of Medon, Paula Jones of Raleigh, N.C., Kathy Canovan of Medon, Debbie Jones of Nashville and Lisa Couch of Jackson and a nephew, Johnny Jones of Mercer.

The husband of Hazel Hill Sasser, who survives, he was Pulpit minister at the Grand Junction Church of Christ, having served there since 1956 and was recently appointed an Elder by the Church. He was also retired from Armira Tannery in Bolivar, where he was employed for 32 years. Mr. Sasser was born in Middleton In 1914 son of the late Daniel and Kate Gorman Sasser and had spent his life in the Middleton area. Mr.

Sasser was a farmer and held membership in the Farm Bureau. Services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday at the Middleton Church of Christ, where he was a former Elder, with Marvin Rainey and James Allen officiating. Burial will be in the Middleton City Cemetery with Shackelford Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. 70 east of Jackson, Sunday Steam Mill Ferry Road, Henderson man killed in wreck A 21-year-old Henderson man died early Sunday morning from injuries in a car accident on South Highland Avenue that also injured the driver who was protected somewhat by an air bag, police said. Brian Burkeen had to be cut from the car with the Jackson Fire Department's hydraulic extraction tool after the car hit a bridge railing near Bond Street about 12:30 a.m. Police would not identify the driver except as a woman from Enville. She was released today from Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Neither Burkeen nor the driver were wearing seat belts, although the driver side had an air bag, said Sgt.

Brimm, 30, of Route 1, Gates, died Friday night after his car left Lawrence Road near Tennessee 88 traveling at a high rate of speed and flipped over several times, Trooper Raymond Smith reported.

Brimm, who was not wearing a seat belt, was traveling north at a high rate of speed when his car left the road and flipped over several times. James K. Pennington, 40, of Counce, was killed when his 1980 Toyota pickup truck collided head- on with a 1977 Chevy Blazer driven by Wade Epperson, age unavailable, of Corinth, about 8 p.m. Saturday on Tennessee 128. Epperson had stopped in the wrong lane, the Highway Patrol said.
