THE MORNING CALL, SATURDAY, MARCH 10, 1990 DEATHS Clayton D. Buss, 100, former owner of Easton real estate business Clayton D. Buss, 100, formerly of 1410 Northampton Easton, died Friday in Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Palmer Township. He was the husband of the late Helen A. (Transue) Buss.

He owned a real estate and insurance business in Easton for many years, retiring in 1987. He designed and built the former Seville Theater, which later became the former Boyd Theater, Easton, in 1929. Before that, he built and managed the Wil-Bor Theater, Wilson, where he had organized and managed an open air theater on 17th Street. He also managed the Third Street Theater, Easton, for five years. Born in Forks Township, he was a son of the late Clinton and Lizzie Buss.

He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wilson. He was an Army veteran of World War I. He was a past secretary of the Easton Board of Realtors and a past director of the Nazareth Mutual Insurance Co. Survivors: Daughter, Jacqueline Kilbanks of Easton and three grandchildren. Landmesser, 80, of E. Northampton Street, Wilkes-Barre, formerly of Allentown, died Thursday in the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Plains Township, Luzerne County. He worked for Bell Telephone, Allentown, for 42 years, retiring in 1969 as a chief switchman. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Harry L. and Mary V.

(Jones) Landmesser. He was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church, Wilkes-Barre. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He served on the Police Civil Service Commission for Salisbury Township for 18 years and the board of directors for the Association for Retarded Citizens, Allentown.

He was a past president and secretary of Lehigh Council of Telephone Pioneers of America. Survivors: Nieces and nephews. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home, 64 N.

Zakeski, 79, of 1642 Levering Place, Bethlehem, died Friday in Muhlenberg Hospital Center. He was the husband of Stella D. (Rayda) Zakeski and the late Stella (Rigolo) Zakeski. He was a roller at Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 47 years before retiring in 1971.

Born in Baltimore, he was a son of the late Charles and Marie (Sczepanski) Zakeski. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem. Survivors: Wife; daughters, Joan, wife of Waldon Kiesshauer of Easton, and Dorothea, wife of Fred Wiele of Mission Hills, brothers, Frank and Edward, both of Bethlehem; sister, Rose Holetz of Bethlehem; stepson, Stephen Rayda of Boxford, stepdaughter, Gloria Strahler of Las Vegas, nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Glenney, 74; was ex-head nurse at St. Luke's Mary J. Glenney, 74, of 713 Fiot Fountain Hill, died Thursday in St. Luke's Hospital. A 1936 graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing, she was head nurse; at St.

Luke's Hospital from 1962 until retiring in 1975. Before that, she was a general staff nurse, a registered nurse and private duty nurse at St. Luke's. of she Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Charles B. and Gertrude B.

Catherine Dean Mrs. Catherine Dean, 77, formerly of 1106 Washington Easton, died Wednesday at Muhlenberg Hospital Center. She was the wife of Lorne Dean of Phillipsburg. Born in Phillipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Catherine (Sperlbaum) Bloss. Survivors: Husband and brothers, Russell of Emmaus, Matthew of Bethlehem and Elwood of Allentown.

Clark Bruce D. Clark, 49, of 1124 Tilghman Allentown, died Friday in Lehigh Valley Hospital Center. He worked for the M.W. Wood Trexlertown, in the dietary department of Cedar Crest College for 10 years. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Elmer J.

and Marguerite (DeLong) Clark. He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Allentown. Survivors: Brother William of Allentown and sisters, Sandra Bear of Emmaus, Betty, wife of Charles G. Wenzel of Wescosville, and Geraldine Fulmer of Allentown. Services: 11 a.m.

Tuesday, Sell Funeral Home, 1145 Lehigh Allentown. Call 7-9 p.m. Monday. Layton Nicholas Layton "Nick" Nicholas, 77, of Coopersburg R.2, formerly of Washington Township, Bangor R.3, died Friday at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was the husband of Ruth (Kellow) Nicholas.

He was a meat manager for the stores for 42 years, including 35 years in Bangor, before retiring in 1975. Born in Nazareth, he was a son of the late Charles H. and Mabel (Laub) Nicholas. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wind Gap. Nicholas was a Navy Seabees veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theater.

He was a past president of the board of directors of the Belfast Rod and Gun Club. Shelly Mrs. Anne M. Shelly, 90, formerly of 931 N. 19th Allentown, died Thursday in Mosser Nursing Home, Trexlertown. She was the widow of George C.

Shelly. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Frank A. and Alice (Moyer) Arner. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Allentown.

Survivors: Son, George R. of Allentown; daughter Nancy, wife of Thomas Moody of Nixa, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services: 1:30 p.m. Monday, Greenwood Cemetery, Allentown. No calling hours.

She was the wife of Paul W. Boger Sr. They observed their 49th wedding anniversary last June. Born in Weisenberg Township, she was a daughter of the late William and Rosie (Stettler) Fink. She was a member of Ziegel United Church of Christ, Breinigsville R.2.

She was a past member of the Blue Ridge Trail Council 179, New Tripoli. Survivors: Husband; son, Paul W. Jr. of Breinigsville R.2 and sister, Ida wife of Walter E. Breininger of Fogelsville.

Marion Davies Mrs. Marion Davies, 91, of Pleasant Valley Manor, Stroudsburg, died Wednesday in the home. She was the widow of Robert W. Davies. Born in Pen Argyl, she was a daughter of the late Jeffrey and Hannah (Blackler) Eden.

She was a member of East Stroudsburg United Methodist Church. She was a past president of the Pen Argyl American Legion Auxiliary and Senior Women's Club of Pen Argyl. Survivors: Daughter, Edith L. Flory of Stroudsburg; son, Glynn E. of Calverton, N.Y; brother, Brigadier Walter of Spencer, eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Francis A. Repsher Francis A. Repsher, 69, of 2027 Vista Drive, Bethlehem, died Friday at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of Miriam (LaBar) Repsher.

He was a driver for Moore Trucking Bath, for many years, retiring in 1983. Born in Pen Argyl, he was a son of the late Warren C. and Ada (Brong) Repsher Sr. He was a member of Central Assembly of God, Bethlehem. An Army veteran of World War II, he served in the Pacific Theater.

Survivors: Wife; daughters, Donna Leverington of Dover, N.J., and Melanie Akins of Bath; sisters, Mildred Ballek and Grace Rutt, both of Bangor, and Gladys Hill of Mount Bethel; brother Douglas of Kunkletown, eight grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren. Pauline A. Wagaman, 84; taught in Whitehall 34 years Mrs. Pauline A. Wagaman, 84, of Whitehall Township, died Friday in Warminster (Bucks County) General Hospital. She was the wife of Alton F.

Wagaman. They observed their 61st wedding anniversary last June. She was an elementary school teacher in the former Whitehall School District at the Fullerton and Cementon schools for 34 years before retiring in 1970. Born in West Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late Edward C. and Minnie M.

(Kleppinger) Oswald. She was a member of St. John's Fullerton United Church of Christ, Whitehall, where she was a deaconess and a teacher and pianist for the kindergarten Sunday school for more than 20 years. She was a founding member and past matron of the former Royal Art Chapter of the Eastern Star, Allentown. She and her husband were the host couple in the Whitehall Exchange Club's "Boost Pennsylvania" program for many years.

Survivors: Husband; daughter, Elaine wife of Dr. Frank Franz of Feasterville, Bucks County, and two granddaughters. Memorial services: 7:30 p.m. Monday in the church. No calling hours.

(Siegfried) Smith. He was a sales representative for Sunshine Biscuits Allentown, for 32 years, retiring in 1977. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Leo G. and Florence M. E.

(Diehl) Smith. He was a member of Solomon's United Church of Christ, Macungie. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a past master of Emmaus Lodge 792, Survivors: Son, Lee J. of Alburtis and two granddaughters.

Ringer Mrs. Verna A. Ringer, 86, formerly of 3159 Ringer Road, Whitehall Township, died Thursday at the Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the widow of Roy H. Ringer.

Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Samuel J. and Gertrude (Schoch) Hahn. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Mickleys. Survivors: Sons, Daniel R. of Schnecksville and Alton H.S.

of Whitehall Township; daughters, Ruth wife of Curtis C. Rabert of Neffs, and Leona wife of Ernest R. Helfrich of Flower Mound, Texas, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Richard A.
