Singleton and Mrs. David Sidwell were hostesses Tuesday evening to members of the Fern Harrington circle of the Woman's Missionary Society" of the First Baptist church that was held at the church. The Thanksgiving motif was carried out in the table decorations for the covered-dish supper with a horn of cornucopia as the centerpiece. Tiny turkeys filled with mints were used as place cards. Mrs, George A.

Hammon and Mrs. Edward Norman were leaders of the program that was opened with a devotional service by Mrs. Norman. She used Isaiah as her Scripture stressing the thought, "Rise and Shine." Th'e meditation was closed with prayer by Mrs. George Koen.

The feature of the evening was a review of the mission study book, "That the World May Know," presented by Mrs. Loren Baker. The speaker was introduced by Mrs. George Stahl. The meeting was closed with the watch word prayer.

The report followed a luncheon served in the dining room of the First Christian church. reported that the organization was founded 78 years ago as a philanthropic, educational and social group and that it now has a revolving fund of approximately 1,000,000. In 1927, Mrs.

Toalson said, a memorial library, now containing rare mementoes, was presented, debt free, to Iowa Wesleyan birthplace of the sisterhood. The convention was attended by 1,100 delegates and Mrs. Toalson represented Chapter AM of Centralia, of Paris and DK of Mexico. Mrs. Bessie Rainey of Illinois was named supreme president to succeed Mrs.

Howard Summers gave a report of the international Sunday School convention in Des Moines, this summer, at a meeting of the Salt River district council of the Audrain Council of the Missouri Council of Churches Tuesday evening. The meeting was held at the home of Mrs. Roy Mayhew. Plans for the winter months were outlined during the business session presided over by Mrs'. Summers, who is president of the group.
