Joseph Medical Center. He was the husband of Ber-nice (Kunkel) Schafer. They were married years. Schafer was a toll collector for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. Previously, he operated Schafer's Tavern, Weatherly, for many years.

Born in Weatherly, he was a son of the late Frederick and Jennie (Winters) Schafer. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ, Weatherly. He was a Navy veteran of World War IL Survivors: Wife; sister, Marguerite Reiche of Stroudsburg, and two grandchildren. A son, John died in 1987. Memorial services: Private.

Dmytro Czuba Dinytro Czuba, 70, of 49 Lynn-wood Drive, Allentown, died Friday in Sacred Heart Hospital. He was the husband of Olga (Faryna) Czuba. They were married 29 years last May. Czuba was a baler for the former Boise Cascade Allentown, for 10 years, retiring in 1976. Bora in the Ukraine, he was a son of the late Gregory and Marie Czuba.

Rutt. She was an operator at the former Nazareth Waist Mill for 20 years and previously at Binney Smith, Easton. She retired in 1962. Born in Saylorsburg, she was a daughter of the late Stuart and Luanda (Warner) Kunkle. She was a member of St.

Lester B. Shafer Lester B. Shafer, 90, of 175 W. North Hall Square, Nazareth, died Thursday in St. Luke's Hospital He was the husband of the late Mary M.

(Sutter) Shafer. He was president of the former Sunny Slope Farms East Allen Township, for 38 years, retiring in 1988. Born in Nazareth, he was a son of the late Howard S. and Helen (Wunderly) Shafer. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Nazareth.

He was a air raid warden during World War H. Shafer was a 32nd degree Mason, Lehigh Consistory, Valley of Allentown. Survivors: Son, Bertram M. of East Allen Township; daughters, Phyllis, wife of Emery Nemeth of East Allen Township, and Del-phine, wife of David Quinn of Mor-gantown, W.Va.; three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
