By night, the area becomes a dance pavilion for visitors to the Nashville theme park. At Opryland's Roy Acuff Museum and Music Hall, below, you'll find Acuff personal collection of antique musical instruments and souvenirs that he has collected during his 40 years in country music. mm sS i ride through the air.

Each passenger is suspended from the top in an individual swing. The Tennessee Waltz, Opryland's newest thrill ride can give up to 42 persons at a time a scarifying carousel country music and crafts festival (Aug. 27-Sept. 5). General admissionprices at Opryland are $7.50 for adults (12 and over); $7 for children 4-11.

Children under 4 are admitted free. Opryland is open weekends only through May 29; starting May 30, opening will be 7 days a week, from 10 to 6 and from 10-8 Saturday; From June 11-Aug. 28, daily hours will be 10-10. Aug. 29-Sept.

Reservations at nearby motels and campgrounds must be made well in advance of peak tourist season There are three performances of the Grand Ole Opry every weekend all year, and a Saturday matinee from April 2-Oct.

29V During peak months, additional shows are scheduled on Friday and Sunday afternoons. Reserved tickets to the Opry are $5 for Friday and Saturday nights, $4 for matinee performances. Beginning June 1, Silver Dollar City will be open 10-7, seven days a week. From Sept. 6 to Oct. 30, hours will be 10-6 daily except Thursdays. Silver Dollar City general admission tickets are $5 for 12 and up, $4 for 6-11.

Children under 6 are admitted free. Other rides at Silver Dollar City are the Train up the Mountain, and the Log Flume. I'j. The use of swimming facilities is included in the general admission; separate reservations must be made for camping. Tennessee's three theme parks Opryland, Libertyland, and Silver Dollar City all have new attractions for this year's tourist-vacation season.

Libertyland at Memphis is the closest of the three to West Tennesseans, and all its attractions can be enjoyed in one afternoon. NEW AT Libertyland this year is ''Thrills of an audio-visual experience in which spectators witness such events as a roller coaster ride or a fast drive down Lombard Street in San Francisco. These effects are projected on a 170-degree screen that half encircles the viewers, and the results are so realistic that hand rails have been installed because "it was so real some people fell forward," a park spokesman explained. Of Libertyland's six live shows, three are Celebration 77 is a soft-rock show featuring hits of the '70s. The Jazz Show features various types of jazz music, and there's a new country show that is highlighted by impressions of famous country stars.

Libertyland is now open on weekends and will be open daily starting May 28 at 11 a.m. Closing hours vary. General admission is $5 for ages 6 up, entitling the visitor to take in all park attractions except food and souvenirs. New this year at Opryland is the Tennessee Waltz, a carousel from which 48 individual, one-passenger swings are suspended. The carousel rotates to the riders out in a wide circle.

GASLIGHT THEATRE is another innovation at Opryland this year; by day, it's the stage for "For Me and My Gal," a show featuring old-time show music. By night, it's a dance pavilion where Opryland guests may take a(turn around the floor to sounds of the Big Band era. Crepes, the year's big food fad, have been added to the menu at the Cafe Mardi Later in the summer, there will be a Pinto Poly features 4 ply polyester cord body. Wide 78 series profile.
