By JOHN PARISH Tennessee's growing interstate highway system was officially expanded by 30 miles Tuesday as Gov. Frank Clement cut the ribbon opening a segment in Haywood and Fayette Counties adjoining the 21-mile Jack-ton bypass. The 51-mile section is now the longest single stretch of the Interstate open in Tennessee.

Gov. Clement said 212 miles of the superhighway are now in use and an additional 22 miles will be opened to traffic Saturday. The governor cut short his prepared dedication speech in deference to shivering spectators and local officials who gathered beneath a bridge at the 1-40 interchange with State Route 76 south of Brownsville. "I wouldn't want any of you to catch a cold," Clement told his audience. "I want you to stay healthy there may be another election coming soon." William Ford of Milan visited Mrs.
