GORDON WESLEY SHAMER Last Thursday evening women in the southern section of the cily met at South Hagerstown Fire Hall for the purpose of organizing an auxiliary to the fire company. Members from the Halfway and Boonsboro auxiliaries were present to aid in the organizing. Mrs.

Alice Snook o( Boonsboro and Miss Mildred Starliper of Halfway gave talks on the function and aid of the auxiliary. Officers who were appointed serve for the year were: president, Mrs. Alma DeLaud- er; vice president, Mrs. Ruth Miller; secretary, Mrs. Bessie Porter; and treasurer, Mrs.

Mary Jane Boward. The next meeting will be held on Oclober 14 at which time a covered dish supper will be served at seven o'clock. A regular business meeting will follow. All members and anyone In the charming setting of St. James Chapel of St.

James School, Miss Juliette Alden Mclntire, daughter of Mrs. Robert L. Mclntire, 1513 East Falkland Lane, Silver Spring, and the late Mr. Mcln- lire, was married Mr. Gordon Wesley Shamer, of Washington, D.C., son of the late Mr.

and Mrs. John Dalzell Shamer. The bride is a former resident of this city. The double ring ceremony, which took place on Saturday, (lie sixth of September at four- thirty o'clock in the afternoon, was performed by Father John Owens, headmaster of Die school. An array white blossoms enhanced the altar before which the ceremony took place.

Michael Littleton, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Littleton, Washington, D.C., also formerly of this cily, provided a musical background for the nuptials. Given in marriage by her brother, Mr. Koberl R.

Mcln- tirc, bride was lovely in a waltz gown of white Dupiouni silk and lace featuring a Sab- Tina neckline and long petal pointed sleeves. A coronet of pearls holding a veil of sheerest illusion crowned her head and she carried.an artful bouquet of pale pink and while carnations. Mrs. Robert R. Mclntire served as the matron of honor for her sister-in-law.

She was gowned in a jewel toned blue pcau do sole creation with blending accessories and carried pale pink carnations. John Shamer of Wilmington, served as best man for his brother. Curtis Knight and Richard Shamer, another brother of the bridegroom, both of Washington, ushered the wedding guests. For her daughter's wedding' Mrs. Mclntire selected a becoming afternoon gown of cafe-au-lait faille with a portrait neckline and a blending satin hat of the same rich tone, and added a corsage of bronze, cymbidium orchids.

A wedding dinner followed in the Potomac Room of the Hotel Alexander for approximately sixty members of the family and close friends of the couple. Bridal while predominated in the appointments and Hie flowers i a special' floral design used to enhance the bride's table. Mrs. Shamer is a graduate of the Hagerstown High School and attended Hagerstown Junior College. She graduated from Hood College in nearby Frederick and received her degree in Library Science from Carnegie Institute 1 of Technology in Piltsburgh, Pa.

She currenlly serves as children's librarian at (he Library in Whcalon, Md. Mr. Shamer recently was discharged from the U.S. Army where he was stationed in France and will resume his studies al the University of Maryland where he will enter his senior year. When the couple left for a honeymoon to New York City the bride was wearing a Dressmaker suit of muted plaid with a chic cloche of orange fealhers and an orchid corsage.

The couple will be at home at 1513 East Falkland Lane, Silver Spring, Md. Guests attended the wedding from Waynesboro, Chambersburg, Washington, D.C., Wilmington, New York Cily, Harrisburg, Ruxfnn, and, Parkersburg, W. Va. Mr. and Mrs.

Hoover, 32i Vista Street, a Ronald Leroy Harsh, son of Mr. and Mrs, Nelson A. Harsh, Williamsport Route 1, were married. The Rev. Ezra L.

Dunnavant officiated at the double ring ceremony in the presence of rcallives and friends at the Downsville Christian Church. Organ music was played by Doyle Callctt. The bride's gown was of a ballerina lehglh Chantilly lace, fashioned with a Queen Anne collar edged in sequins and seed pearls. The taut bodice was finished with long sleeves and the bouffant skirt was designed with a redingole inset of accordion pleated nylon over satin. Her headdress was a lace fitted crown embellished' with seed pearls from which fell a sheer net veil.

She carried a yellow rosebud nosegay wilh blending flowers. Mrs. Irene Farling, aunt of the bride, served as her matron of honor and only attendant. She was attractively attired in yellow over taffeta, ballerina length, with an off-shoulder neckline finished with a matching jacket. She wore a floral tiara and carried a nosegay of yellow roses.

Nelson A. Harsh, was best man for his brother. Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's aunt, Mrs. Ray Clark. Cake was served by Mrs.

Irene Farling while Hie punch bowl was presided over by Mrs. Clark. Tne couple are residing at 436 West Washington Street. The bride is a graduate of North Hagcrslown High School in the class of 1958. The bridegroom is graduate of Williamspott High School with the class ot -1954.
