Summer course keyed to child's experiences Lehigh University's Centennial School will offer a four-week educational program for children 5-13 years old beginning June 28. The program will incorporate experiences with multisensory media, the study of American folk heroes, camping and outdoor cooking, spaceships, boomerangs and aerodynamic oddities. Classes will meet 9 a.m.-noon daily.

Receive degrees Donna Sloyer of Bethlehem and Daniel Geiger of Allentown were among 133 students receiving degrees recently from Temple University School of Pharmacy at commencement exercises. Registered nurses eligible for program Registered nurses are now permitted to matriculate into the bachelor of science in nursing degree program at East Stroudsburg State College, according to Dr. Marjorie E. Sanderson, associate dean of nursing. A copy of a professional license to practice nursing in Pennsylvania and a transcript showing a plus" average or above are required for admission into the program.

Students in the program may challenge a number of courses by way of examination determined by the faculty member. The ability to challenge a course is open only to persons currently holding a Pennsylvania Registered Nursing license. Upon completion of the required 95 semester hours of course work, the registered nurse will be accepted into the senior level courses on a first come first serve basis. Schaefer of Orefield has been named to the dean's list for the spring semester at Grove City College, Grove City, Mercer County. 17 from area graduate from Mansfield State Seventeen area students recently received bachelor's degrees from Mansfield State College. In the morning section, Rapee won first prize fori casual wear. Denise Mitcheirplaced second. Felicia Schlegel was first for dress-up, and Traci Anf uso, second.

For the afternoon section, Merkle won first prize for casual wear with Sue Lambert placing second. Wanda Keefer placed first in dress-up with Terry Erkinger placing second. Beverly Feflie won first prize for potpourri and Karen Rhoades placed second. Merkle also took first in the children's wear category with Judy Crozier placing second. Merkle and Rapee received plaques for their outstanding work by Cross Country Clothes' Wassyl Liskanich, senior vice president.
