There will be three new sets of paired primary (preK-2) and intermediate (grades 3-5) schools: Charles H. Students in the Jersey Road, Springhill, Canterbury change area in grades K-6 in the school year 1998-99 who are presently in Junior-Senior High School. Students in grades 7 and 8 during the 1998-99 school year in Mardela Middle and High or Delmar Junior-Senior High. However, this year's Delmar fifth-graders who live in the option area can choose to continue at Delmar Elementary next year or, if they plan to attend middle and high school in Wicomico, they can attend Wicomico Middle School for sixth grade. The Magnet Program at North Salisbury Elementary will serve grades 2-5; sixth-graders will be served with programs in the middle schools. Fruitland Intermediate will have grades 3-5 (third-graders currently attend Fruitland Primary). Westside Intermediate, which is undergoing renovation and expansion that will increase its capacity to 500 by September, will have grades 2-5 in the fall (second-graders currently attend Westside Primary).
