James Bishop, retiring president, installed the following: Mrs. Donald Boxell, president; Mrs. Herbert White, vice-president; Mrs. Kobert Hammontree, secretary; Mrs. John Bowman, treasurer; and Mrs.

Joe Robinson, publicity chairman. Mrs. Bishop was presented with a past presi- dent's pin. Mrs. Edward Kimes and Mrs.

William Haines made up the March committee. The April committee is made up of Mrs. Robert Myers and Mrs. Robert Hammontree. Games were conducted and prizes awarded to Mrs.

Herbert White, Mrs. Maurice Cory and Mrs. Norman Strauch. ete Beth Starbuck On First Birthday On her first birthday, Miss Beth Ann Starbuck was honored at a given by her parents, Mr. and Mrs.

and Mrs. Don Zimmerman and Fred. FIRST MOTHER'S STUDY First Mother's Study club met at the home of Mrs. Ray Martens with 35 members.present and two Dorothy Nethercutt and Mary Kay Coppedge. The meeting opened with the Collect read in unison.

Roll call was taken, correspondence was read after which the secretary's and treasurer's report was given. Discussion was held in regard to future meetings. A nominating committee was appointed consisting of Mary Margaret Muehlhausen, chairman; Dorothy Kimbrough and Catherine Justice. New members proposed were voted on. Following the business meeting a panel discussion was held in regard to The Panel consisted of Jack Ulmer, Moderator; Harold Ray, Roberta Hammontree, Barbara Carson and Mike Minter.

After the program, refreshments in keeping with St. Patrick's Day were served. LOGAN ORGAN CLUB The Logansport Organ club mel at the home of Mrs. Virginia Jacot with members submitting names for the club to be votec upon at the next meeting. Dorothy Gavin was the organ instructor for the evening with special guests, Mrs.

Dorothy Gavin, Mrs. Louise Muehlhausen and Miss Theltna Dean. An organ concert will be held a' Kokomo April 13, featuring Potter Heaps. The next meeting will be April 20 at 7:30 o'clock at the home of Dr. and Mrs.

tOGANSPORT, PHONE 3330 Wednesdays Fridays 9 to 4 'O2ZKZ2ZS Night Club Theme Featured At Alpha Phi Rush Party Alpha Phi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority met at 50 Seventeenth street Monday evening for a rush party featuring the night club theme. Members and guests were seated at individual tables centered with hurricane lamps and favors of yellow roses. Games were played with prizes going to: Betty Miller, Emma Miller, Wilma Bowles, Jenny DeHaven, Nancy Loe, Loretta Keplar, Marilyn Hoss and Ann Courtad. A floor show was presented with Donna Randolp as mistress of ceremonies. Those participating were: Patty Montgomery, Deloris Sheila Cody, Karen Bressler, Betty Carr, June Fishbeck, Gail Lowe, Mary Lou Wedekind, Joan Bear, Emily Hodus, Helen Gifford, Sue Kiesling, Betty Miller, Corrine Mattes and Pat Cronin.

Punch and- snacks were served yy Corrine Mattes, Sheila Cody and Sue Kiesling who dressed in black costumes. Refreshments consisting of ribbon loaf, chips and dip, relishes and coffee, were served by the committee which included: Joan Bear, Mary Lou Wedekind, Corrine Mattes, Jenny Dawson, Patty Montgomery, Bev- and Joan Hipsher. Joan Bear, president, presided at the short business session at time three girls from the chapter were nominated for "Girl of the Year" award. All three hapters will sponsor representa- and one girl will be chosen and her name disclosed at the Founder's Day banquet on April 28. The president reminded the jroup to bring cookies for the card party and also the bake sale be held Saturday.

Guests for the evening were: Wilma Bowles, Ann Courtad, Day, Betty Dunsizer, Jackie ormley, Lois Heimer, Marilyn Hoss, Loretta Keplar, Jalene Lewis, Emma Miller, Mildred Myers, Sally Lou Nelson, Carmin Noel, Peg Feidler, Nancy Loe and Mrs. Frances Cronin. INFANT JESUS OF PRAGUE Mrs. Herman Loner was hostess to members of the Infant Jesus of Prague study club of St. Joseph's church Monday evening.

Roll call response was a station of the cross and the hostess led in the recitation of the chaplet beads and club prayers. During the meeting, members worked on cord Rosaries for the missions. An article entitled "Russian Easter" taken from the "Catholic Digest" was read by Mrs. John Refreshments were served from a table accented with an arrangement of spring flowers and a statue of the Infant Jesus of Prague. Favors were medals on a leaflet pertaining to the Agnus Dei.

Washington FHA Attends Spring District Meeting The Spring meeting of the Central District held at the Waynetown high school, Waynetown, was attended by 11 members and three adults of the Washington township chapter of the FHA. The theme "You and Your Future" was carried out by the guest speaker, Rev. Ben Harvey of Friends church, Fairmount, Ind. The "Teen Tones" composed of Susan Baumann, Pat Richason and Carol Chumney, accompanied by Barb Downham represented the club in the talent show by singing a Mary Lois Martin was elected state publicity chairman and Carol Chumney represented the club as the voting delegate. Members attending were: Mary Lois Martin, Carol Chumney, Linda Leffert, Barbara Woolever, Barb Downham, Rita Parmeter, Ellen White, Jane Miller, Susan Baumann, Pat Richason and Sue Hahnert; chapter mothers, Mrs.

Sarah Martin and Mrs. Mary Miller; and chapter advisor, Mrs. Kathleen Stonebraker. Feature Speaker At Special BPW Dinner Meet This Evening The Business and Professional Women's club will hold its annual "Boss and Guest Night" this evening at 6:30 o'clock at the Country club with Dr. John W.

Hicks, executive assistant to the president and professor of agricultural economics at Purdue University, as the guest speaker. Dr. Hicks will speak on the topic "Laws, Ladies and Lobbyists." He has been active in work in economic education in Indiana and serves as consultant to the United States office of education and the Indiana Commission on State Tax and Financing Policy. In 1946 he was instructor in Agricultural Economics at the University of Massachusetts and was appointed to the faculty of Purdue's department of Agricultural Economics in 1950. He was njimed to his present position in 1955.

Russell Poenix with Mrs. Hill giving the history of the song of the month. Roll call was answered by an Irish joke. The group sang 'Happy Birthday' to Mrs. Alva Coffman and Mrs.

Delbert Penny. Mrs. Ada Miller conducted a program planning. A donation was made to the Red Cross and a card of thanks was read from Clyde O'Dell. Mrs.

Otto Applegate, president, announced that a card party will be held April 5 by the county Chorus. A craft school will be conducted on April 21 at the Grange hall. The club is to help the Harrison township club April 11 at 1:30 o'clock at the Grass Creek church. Mrs. Poenix and Mrs.

Penny were appointed on the committee for Demonstration week. Mrs. Coffman has charge of the entertainment. Mrs. Myrtle Smith became a new member.

The meeting was closed and refreshments served to 13 SHILOH LADIES Shiloh Ladies CWF met with Ida Myers recently with the president, Leila Prouty, opened the meeting with two poems. The group sang and devotions were given by Mrs. Jessie Eikelberner. A business meeting was conducted after which a social hour was conducted. The door prize was won by Mrs.

Cleo Nice and the contest prizes went to Mrs. Edna May Busard and the booby-prize to Mrs. Ruth Sells. Refreshments were served to 24 members and two guests. The next meeting will be held on April 20 at the Shiloh church with a covered-dish dinner.

UNITED LUTHERAN WOMEN The United Lutheran church Women of St. Luke's church met at the home of Mrs. F. R. VanAllen with Mrs.

Pearl Jones and Announce Cass HD Past President's Luncheon For April Mrs. C. M. Ide, county HD president, announced that the Cass county HD clubs Past President's luncheon will be held April 17 at St. Luke's Lutheran church.

The luncheon will be served at 12 o'clock noon followed with a program at which time the Cass county Chorus will sing under the direction of Mrs. George Amthauer. Ann Smith, a past president, will give a resume of her two year term as county president in. 1954-55. The speaker of the afternoon will be Mrs.

Clayton Weeks, of Star City, who will talk of her experiences as a missionary to the Congo. She will also feature a display of articles from the Congo. Tickets for the luncheon are available from club presidents and must be secured by April 10. The ticket money and remaining tickets are to be turned in at the April 10th Council meeting. AH 1961 presidents are also invited to attend.

Mrs. Daisy Hinlcle as hostesses. The meeting opened with prayer after which a short business meeting was conducted. A devotional program on "Sounds In Lent" was presented by Mrs. Ray Fisher with the members assisting.

The meeting closed with prayer after which refreshments were served.
