Mrs. Frederick Mayhlll will give a lesson on gardening entitled "Growing Vegetables and Fruits Suitable for Freezing." Outlook for the year will be given by Mrs. Fred Herrlck, and Mrs, Scott will show products.

Brownie and Girl Scout troops cf the school are to he in charge ot the program.

Mrs. IT. C. Niemann will give a talk on scouting. A guest speaker will tell the group of the American Red Cross.

Mrs. Robert Faris will be chairman In charge of refreshments. The Wayne Progressive Home club held its regular monthly meeting at the home of Mrs. Alpha Hoesel near Grass Creek with Mrs. Lyman Hill serving as co-hostess.

The business meeting was conducted by Mrs. Futilino Van Meter and opened with group singing of "Amcrira. the lautiful." Nora Penny was in charge ot devotions and Mrs, Velmn Lease gave the history of Uio song of the month. The group contributed to the Rod Cross and to the county chorus. Mrs.

and Mrc. Eoiom White, of Lucerne, Mr. Hipskind, has been seriously ill. Music Directors Attend Convention William Joseph mar, and Miss Thelraa Sines of the music department of the city schools returned Sunday from a music convention in Davenport, Iowa. The three local music instructors attended the Music Educators National conference at Davenport from Wednesday, March 16, through Saturday, March ID.

Music educators from various parts of the country wore present. 81st Birthday Of Mrs. Mary Fettig Is Quietly Observed Mrs. Mary Fettig will quietly observe her Slst birthday anniversary Monday at the borne of her daughter, Mrs. Louise Daugherty, 222 Wheatland avenue, with whom she resides.

While no special celebration is planned, most of the children were in Logansport over the week-end to visit with their mother. Mrs. Fettig was bora March 21, 1S67. and has spent her entire life -in this community. She is the widow of Anthony Fettig who passed away ten years ago.

Scouts Distribute Pamphlets On Cancer Members ot Girl Scout Troop No. 5 who are working for their curved bars received points toward that honor when they delivered cancer pamphlets last week to the dentists, doctors, and beauty shops Of Logansport.
