April 2-Services for laying the corner stone of the new Rochester post office now under construction were conducted here tlus afternoon. Archibald Hull of Indianapolis, noted speaker and prominent c-ireles gave the chief address.

The services were held under the auspices of the local order which organization' was assisted liy state officials. Anioag the notables attending were Lee Dinwiddle of Fowler, grand master of Indiana Masonry, Omcr Smith, past grand master, Theodore Lang, government engineer who has charg eof the construction work here. J. B. Ewing, senior warden, and Frank Steiner, junior warden.

These together with a number of local people including Albert Bitters, toastmaster were served a luncheon at the noon liour in the American cafe. All business -places were closed i between two and four this I noon for the Hundreds of people were attracted to the scene of the cornerstone laying.
