Inc. of Emmaus will start moving equipment into its new $180,000 addition today. President Fred Kalmbach Jr. says full production in the new section is expected in about two weeks. A dedication program is planned for mid-September.

Kalmbach says the addition will relieve over crowded condi tions in the present manufacturing plant at S. 4th and Furnace Sts. More Workers Indirectly, it will supply space for the production of a recently invented machine tool. And it will mean the hiring of more workers, though has no figures on the number at this time. The addition fronts on S.

5th It directly adjoins the main plant. With new equipment, the installation will cost about a quarter million dollars. It will increase plant floor space by about 12 per cent. The new section is one story, measuring 120 by 220 feet The S. 5th street side is brick, rest block.

Inside walls are painted pastel shades of green and buff. The president says: "The purpose of the building is to house the sheet metal and plate fabricating shop. This has grown so fast as a result of the acceptance of the commercial heating equipment we brought out in 1953. "The volume on the commercial equipment has doubled each year since 1953." The firm manufactures stoker oil-fired boilers and furnaces for domestic, commercial and industrial use. Its brand name is Electric Furnace Man.

New Line Kalmbach says also that by moving the shop to the new building, space will be available in the main plant for the manufacture of the Non-flex cutoff tool. This is a new line for the company. The took is designed for slicing off metal pieces in lathes. Unlike most conventional cutting tools, this one has a rigid support for the cutting edge. The tool was developed last year in the company's turning department.

"As of May, we started pro moting the new tool, and there has been excellent reaction beyond our expectations," Kalmbach says. Starting Slowly "We're starting on its slowly. We've never been in the machine tool business before." This project will provide additional jobs, he says. Also, the new addition "will eventually mean more employes, but not immediately." Lloyd S. Keifriter of Allentowu was the contractor for the new building.

It was the first addition to plant facilities in two years. General Machine moved from New York City to Emmaus in 1941. Since then, it has expanded its original floor space by 80 per cent Mickey Finn I WASNT THIS IS WHERE PHIL'S PKIVE WEN THE TIDE TURNS FOR THE POND?
