YOUTH LETTER FORUM' The Herald-Mail newspapers take young men and women seriously. That's why for the tenth consecutive year, the Youth Letter Forum will run on the editorial pages of the two newspapers. There is no limit to subject matter in the letters, except that they be in good taste, be approximately 200 words or less, and the writer's age. If you are a student, also list your school and home telephone number. Elliott Mrs. Celia Elliott, 74, died Thursday at Shawnee Nursing Home in Winchester, Va. Born in Beaver Creek, she was a daughter of Robert and Margaret Fowler, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Services will be held at the Watson Funeral Home on Monday at 1 p.m. The Rev.

William Ctaybon will officiate; burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. There will be no viewing. Melvin G. Myers MARION, Pa. Melvin G.

Myers, 44, of Marion, died Friday in Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, after an illness of four weeks. Born in Antrim Township, he was a son of Mrs. Martha A. Cayman Myers of Rt. 4, Grecncastle, and the late Rev.

Charles A. Myers Sr. He was a member of Montgomery Brethren in Christ Church near Upton; and J.O.U.A.M. in Marion. He was manager at Frank Gayman Chevrolet, Inc.

in Chambersburg. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Cora E. Horst Myers; a daughter, Miss Galdys K. Myers, at home; sons, Nelson R. Myers of Chambersburg, and Harold L.

Myers, at home; sisters, Mrs. Robert Hartman of Rt. 1. Mercersburg, Miss Mildred Myers of Bulawayo, Rhodesia, Africa, Mrs. Asa Helfrick of Rt.

Myers Jr. of Rt. 3, Greencastle, and Glenn E. Myers of Rt. 2, Greencastle.

Services will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Montgomery Brethren i Christ Church. The Revs. H. Melvin Boose and Roy Brake will officiate; burial will be in adjoining church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Minnich-Miller Funeral Home in Greencastle on Monday evening from 7 to 9, and at the church one hour prior to the time of the service. Ralph H. Buffer FREDERICK, Md. Ralph H. Buffer, 64.

of 430 W. Patrick died Friday at Vindabona Nursing Home. Born in Middletown, he was the son of the late Howard and Mary Ellen Moser Huffer. He was a member of the Lutheran Church in Middletown. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs.

Nancy Ohler of Frederick; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Stottlemyer of Zittlestown, Mrs. May Jones of Frederick: Mrs. Blanche Schroycr of Middletown, and Mrs. Grace of Bconsboro; three brothers, Ira Huffer of Frederick, Albert Huffer of Boonsboro, and Fred Huffer of Middletown; and two grandchildren.

Services will be held from the Ghdhill Funeral Home in Middletown Sunday at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Emmanuel Hoover will officiate. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Middletown. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.

Penner. 79. formerly Hagerstown. died Wednesday in a nursing home here. He was a veteran of World War I.

Besides his wife, Louise Penner of Hagerstown, he is survived by one son, George C. Penner of Hagerstown; one sister. Mrs. Florence Hilton of Baltimore; one brother, Paul Penner of Halfway; and four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Military services will be held i Denver a morning at 9.

Mabel i a Sword, 72, of 114 Cherry Tree Lane. Wiiliamsport, died early Friday morning at. Washington County Hospital. Born in Wiiliamsport, she was the daughter of Harry and Mary Elizabeth Ensminger Pryor. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Wiiliamsport.

She was also a member of the AARP of Hagerstown. She is survived by three sons. Charles E. Sword, Rt. 2, Wiiliamsport, Melvin E.

Sword of Gaithersburg, and George P. Sword of Hagerstown; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel M. White of Hagerstown, and Mrs. Evelyn Listen Wiiliamsport; and grandchildren.

Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Zion Lutheran Church. The Rev. Eugene A. Gardner and the Rev.

William C. Huddle will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Wiiliamsport. The family will receive friends at the 0 Funeral Home, Leaf's, in Wiiliamsport this evening from 7 to 9. Edward F.

Shaffer Edward Franklin Shaffer, 52, of 116 Meadowbrook Drive, died Friday afternoon at his residence. Born in Hagerstown, he was the son of Edward F. and Jessie Sneckenberger Shaffer. He was an employe of Fairchild Republic Company. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Morris Frock Post No.

42 of the American Legion; Degree of Chevalir of Order of De- Molay; and First Hose Fire Company. He is survived by his wife, Eloise Troupe Shaffer; and one brother, William R. Shaffer of Hagerstown. Services will be held at Norment Funeral Home on Monday at 2 p.m. the Rev.

-Mitchell Eric Welch, 11, of Rt. 1, died Friday morning in Sinai Hospital in Baltimore. Born in West Virginia, he was the son of Woodrow Wilson Welch and Clores Ann Files Welch. He was a student at Valley View Elementary School. He attended Bunker Hill United Methodist Church.

Besides his parents he is survived by one Woodrow Wilson (Tray) Welch III at home; a a grandmother, Mrs. Charles Files of Martinsburg; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Wilson Welch Sr. of Martinsburg.
