Fish and game wardens declare there is every indication that the bass will keep pace with the trout and pike, seasons on which have been open for several weeks, in providing the kind. of angling that is making 1933 a yem of banner sport on this state's lakes and streams. While the small mouth and the large mouth or Oswego bass provide the major sport during the season, other varieties such 38 Rock bass, White bass, Calico bass and Crappie are no mean importance in certain localities.

The Calico and Crappie especially have been widely distributed are more easily taken and as food are popular fish. The bass season in inland waters extends to November 30. The Delaware river season for game fish in this stream and its tide water tributaries also will also open on June 15. The fact that the river season on certain game fish comes in later than in inland waters causes some confusion among anglers who fail to consult the official season chart. The various kinds of bass and also pike, pickerel, pike-perch, white and yellow perch and rtout may be caught in the river, and its branches where the tide ebbs and flows, from this date until December 1.

An exception is made of white and yellow perch in the lower river and bay and tide-water tributaries, opposite the State of Delaware, where the perch may be taken by hook and line at any time. PROPOSE INCOME TAX TO SUPPORT SCHOOLS VINELAND Imposition of a State Income Tax to be used entirely for school purposes was advocated yesterday by Edward W. Kilpatrick, of Hackettstown, at a meeting of Feder- ated Boards of Education of New Jersey. Kilpatrick estimated this would not only eliminate the two and three-quarters mill school tax by which $18,000,000 is raised annually, but would produce at least $70,000,000. He opposed the plan to divert highway money to school purposes Funeral Notices CLARK--At Vineland, N. June 8, 1933.
