Bruce Basses Away NEW YORK (AP) Funeral ervices will he held In New York Thursday for Mrs. Ailsa Mellon Bruce, heiress to one of he country's great fortunes. Mrs. Bruce died in New York Monday following an illness. She was ahout 65.

Mrs. Bruce, who mainlainec louses in Manhattan and Syosset, L.I., in recent years, was born in Pittsburgh. She was the daughter of Andrew W. Mellon and served as her father's hos less during his terms as Secre tary of the Treasury and U. Ambassador to London.

She married diplomat Davit K.E. Bruce in 1926, hut divorced him in 1945. Bruce is also former Ambassador lo London Mrs. Bruce is a first cousl of Richard King Mellon, mana ger of the family financial em pire in Pittsburgh. Firlune Magazine estimalec her personal value at $500 million last year.
