MUIRFIELD, Scotland (AP) -Steady Nick Faldo, an Englishman adopted by the Scottish galleries, won the title he most wanted Sunday when American Paul Azinger bogeyed the last two holes and handed him the 116th British Open. Faldo, playing in front of Azinger, shot 18 straight pars and was in the clubhouse with the ball in his pocket when the pro-British gallery saluted the young American's closing bogey with a cheer that resounded through the chilly, misty drizzle. "When I started off, as a kid on the putting green, it was always, 'This putt's to win the Open," said Faldo, who celebrated his 30th birthday Saturday.
