Views Sought On Halfway Rt. 40 Plans The views of Halfway area residents in connection of the Rt. bershlp 40 by-pass of Hagerstown through that section are being sought by the Washington County Delegation at Annapolis. Delegate Charles Coss said the Delegation is conducting an in quiry into the State Roads Com mission plans for the Rt. 40 by- Dass and the' plan to locate the road in the vicinity of the block of Virginia Avenue.

He said the Delegation welcomes ietters from all interested parties on the question. Three Jailed For Stealing License Plate Three young men were given Jail sentences today on charges of stealing a license plate from the auto of Bertha L. Warren feltz, 800 block Salem Avenue when they were convicted before Magistrate William P. Kreykenbohm. Robert K.

Police Officials Attend Parley Lt. Harold Kiser and Sgt. Grason F. Doarnberger of the local police department yesterday attended a National Traffic Safety Conference in Wilmington, Dela. The purpose of the parley was a discussion of plans to cut the accident rate during the coming summer months when more traffic than ever is expected on the highways.

Wilson Blvd. Eagle Award Dinner Will Climax Week Climaxing Boy Scout which officially begins today, will be the second'aonual Eaglt Award recognition dinner scheduled here on Feb. 13.
