He was a maintenance man for the former Meats, Allentown, for 23 years until retiring in 1980. Born in Albany Township, Berks County, he was a son of the late Pearson and Minnie (Zettle-moyer) Hemerly. He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Kutztown. Survivors: Wife; daughters, Cheryl wife of Kenneth W. Schaus of New Smithville, and Gail wife of Barry Hirsch of Albur-tis, and four grandchildren.

Services: To be announced, Lud-wick Funeral Home, Kutztown. Frances M. Mason Frances M. Mason, 78, of Allentown died Tuesday in Sacred Heart Hospital. She was the wife of the late Stanley E.

Mason Sr. She was a waitress and cook for Pete's Place, Allentown, for six years, retiring in 1990. Before that she and her husband owned and operated Stewart's Root Beer Drive-In, Union Boulevard, Allentown, 1950-73. Born in Elizabeth, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Florian Pe-trone and Mary (Szul) Petrone-Krough. Survivors: Daughter, Marilyn F.

Kennedy, 71, of Quiet Acres, Sellersville, formerly of Col-legeville, died Monday in Rockhill Mennonite Community, West Rockhill Township. She was the wife of William T. Kennedy for 23 years. A beautician, she worked at the Richland Mall, Quakertown, until retiring in 1986. Before that she was employed by various salons in the Norristown and Conshohocken areas for 30 years.

After retiring, she was a volunteer hairdresser at St. Mary's Manor, Lansdale, until 1990. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Guiseppe and Caterina (Lina) Falco. She was a member of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hilltown. Robert E.

Masucci Robert E. Masucci, 77, of 509 N. Gilmore Allentown, died Monday in Sacred Heart Hospital. He-was the husband of the late Agnc-s (Heimbach) Masucci. He worked in the building services department of Eastman Kodak Rochester, N.Y., for 16 years before retiring in 1980.

Born in Rochester, he was a son of the late Mario and Theresa (Ma-lone) Masucci. He was an Army veteran of World War n. Survivors: Sons, James with whom he resided, and Phillip E. of Medford, N.Y.; brother, Mario of New Bedford, and two grandchildren. Services 8 p.m.

The Northampton County coroner's office ruled the death a suicide. Barrett was the husband of Catherine Louise (Dugan) Barrett. They were married 42 years last August. Barrett had been in private practice in Bethlehem since 1950. In addition, he was Bethlehem Area School District solicitor, 1969-72; first assistant district attorney of Northampton County, serving 1964-65, and solicitor for the Northampton County sheriff, 1960-64.

He also was solicitor and board member for the Greater Bethlehem Savings and Loan Association, beginning in 1960, and a lecturer in business law at Lehigh University, 1947-49. He provided legal counsel to the Bethlehem Housing Opportunity Association as a volunteer for many years. He was a 1947 honors graduate Lehigh University and a 1950 graduate of Harvard Law School. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late John Watts Sr. and Lucile (Lewis) Barrett.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a communications specialist with the 424th Infantry Company of the 106th Division in the Battle of the Ardennes, Battle of the Bulge and other campaigns. He received the Purple Heart. Active in his community, he was Northampton County Special Gifts chairman of the 1972 Easter Seal fund campaign, assistant treasurer of the Bethlehem YMCA, secretary of the Bethlehem Lions Club, legislative chairman for the Bethlehem Area Council of Parent-Teacher Associations and a committee chairman for the Morning Star Rotary Club, Bethlehem. He was named chairman of the nominating and membership committee of the board of directors of the Bethlehem Committee on Alcoholism in 1957. Barrett was a 32nd degree Mason in Bethlehem Lodge 283 and president of the 30th anniversary class of the Lehigh Consistory in 1956.

Survivors: Wife; daughters, Carol of Allentown, Lynn of Phoenix, and Joanne Barrett Sefranek of Glendale, sister, Elizabeth DeLong of York, and two Survivors: Husband; daughter, Jean E. Navarra, wife of Paul K. -Gibbons of Lansdale; son, Alfred J. Navarra of Ambler; sister, Ann Tarreli of Downingtown; brothers, Samuel of Louisburg, N.C., Philip of Springfield and Thomas of Ex-ton, and a granddaughter. Mass: 11 a.m.

Emma R. Miller Emma R. Miller, 89, of 2343 Washington Northampton, died Tuesday in Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Bethlehem. She worked in housekeeping at Sacred Heart Hospital until retiring in 1971. Previously, she worked in the kitchen at the former Haff Hospital, Northampton.

Born in Hokendauqua, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Annie (Scheirer) Trout. She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Northampton. Survivors: Two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son Russell. Services: 11 a.m.
