IV TUB SPRING MONTHS thJ system nat- nrallv utiderooes a change, and Ilelmhold'- Hiehly Cotr eutrated Extinct of Safari) Ja is an absisur.1 of the gif-ateK va.ue 19-2tno5 Let sot Precjdice Usurp Your Reason. It is a fact that, in the minds of many persons, a prejudice exists against what are called patent medicines; but why should this prevent you resorting to an article that has such an army of testimony to support it as HOSTETTER'S STOMACH BITTERS? Physicians prescribe it; why should you discard it? Judges, usu ally considered men of talent, have used and do use it in their families; why should you reject it? Let 'not your prejudice usurp your reason to the everlasting injury of your health. If you are sick, and require a medicine, try these Bitters. When the bodily energies are worn out by anxiety and need a stimulant, this is the best that can he taken. It is tempered and modified by hygienic herbs and roots, which prevent it from fevering the blood; and hence it does not produce a mere temporary excitement, to be followed by injurious reactions, but communicates a permanent potency to the entire vital organization.

Some of its herbal constituents are slightly soporific, so that in cases where sleeplessness is one of the accompaniments of nervous disease, a dose of it taken towards bedtime will tend to produce quiet and refreshing slumber. For palpitation of heart, tremors, hysterics, faiting fits, general restlessness acd the causeless fears and distressing fancies to which ladies are especially subject under certain morbid conditions of mind and body peculiar to their sex, the Bitters will be found the most agreeable and certain of all counter-irritante. The constitutionally nervous may readily keep their infirmity in constant check by the daily use of this healthful vegetable'tonic and those who have "shattered their nerves," as the phrase is, either by imprudent indulgence or undue physical or intellectual labor, will find in this vitalizing elixir a prompt restorative. July 10, Imo. BELMBOLDS CONCENTRATED FLUID EXTRACT SARSAPARILLA ERADICATES ERUPTIVE UCd ULCERATIVE DISEASES Oi' THE" THROAT, NOSE, EYES, EYELIDS, SCALP aDd SKIN, Which so disfigure the appearance, PURGING the evil effects of mercury and romoving all taints, the remnants of DISEASES, hereditary or otherwise, and is taken by ADUL1S and CHILDREN with perfect TWO TABLE-SPOONFUI of the Extract of Sarsaparilla, aiided to a pint of water, is equal to the Lisbon Diet Diink.and one bottle is equal to a gallon of the Syrup of Sarsapaiilla, or the decoctions as usually made.

AN INTERESTING LETTER is publisled in the Mefiico-Chirureical Review, on the subject of the Extract of Sarsaparilla in certain atlec tions, bv Benjamin Travel's, F. R. Speaking of those diseases, and diseases arising from the excess of mercury, he states ''that no remedy is equal to ihe Extrct of Sarsaparilla its power is extraordinary, more so than any other drug I am acquainted with. It is in the strictest sense, a tonic with this invaluable at. tribute, that ii is applicable to a state ot the system so sunken, and yet so irritable as renders other substances of the tonic class unavailable or injurious.

helmp.old's Concentrated Extract Sarsaparilla, Established upwards of 18 years. PREPARED BY H. T. IIELMBOLD, Druggist and Chemist, May 22-2mos 591 Broadway, N. Y.

THE Tonics have of laie vears gained rapidly in public, estimation, and are far more geiierally employed by first-class physicians than tLey once were. The reason for this is that it is a generally established fict that wholesome tonics ued in moderation daily for years do not lose their virtue, neither do they injure the system. 1 hey act in fact like air arid exercise, and not as medicines," which are intended solely for attacks of disease. The bitter principles, especially th'ise ot vegetable origin, ail possesses the common properly ot stimulating the ap petite, strengthening the nervous system, and of imparting streuglh. Women generally derive benefit from thera even more than men, their system being more liable to dehiiity and exhaustion.

We have again ai again in our experience seen the good effects of tonus where the eyes had c'ini the cheeks pale, and the entire frame shewed every indication of exhaustion, nervous suffering and dehiiity. The best established bitters before the American public are beyond question those of Dr, Sitever, and this is equivalent to declaring that Ihey are the best since among the scores of reallj excellent bitters now current, a poor article has no chance ot success whatever. The most ignoiani person can tell at once by its effects, almost from a siujjle dose, whether any bitters are good or bad. These of Stcever have been sold for thirty years, are composed of sixteen of the safest roots and heibs of a well-known tonic virtue, so skillfully selected and compounded with regard to their mutual eftects, that it mav he doubled whether any more perfect foim of this medicine can be made. Thousands of wsons are expns to or afflicted with fever and ague, bilious ague or oth er results of malaria.

Let them remember that these bitters are admirable in such cases, as for diarrhea and cholera morbus, or any ordinary derangement of the stomach. Try them and be satisfied that they should be in the stores of every family, and the trunk of every traveler, It is a favorable feature in the advertisement of the proprietors of Dr. Stcever's Tonics Herb Bitters, that no claims are made that they will cure every ill that flesh is heir to. The weakest intellect can hardly he imposed upon when iold that this or that remedy will remove every form of disease in every stage, and yet we can not take up the majority of journals without encountering an advertisement declaring that this or that medicine is a uoslrnm which is a perfect apothecary shop, and a whole college of physicians in itself, lendering all other cures useless. What is claimed tor Dr Stoever's Bitters is pimply that they will act as a good tonic, and are capabl i of doing as much good as a preparation of bitter prtneipre can.

They wHl not cure incurable diseases, but they will often prevent a certain class ot disorders from becoming incurable. The references and certificates, issued in their favor are all true and honest, and these there are hundreds. From the editoria1 columns of Forney's Fhta. Press. FROM THE MEDICAL PROFESSION.
