Miller, 83, of Salisbury Township died Friday in Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Salisbury Township. She was the wife of the late Roy A.

Miller. She and her husband were the former owners and operators of Miller's Hobby Shop, Allentown, for many years. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Lewis S. and Stella (Bartolowits) Cressman. She was a member of St.

Thomas United Church of Christ, Bethlehem. Survivors: Sons, Roy W. of Salisbury Township and Jerome A. of Jim Thorpe; sister, Matilda Repasch of Easton; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services: At convenience of the family.

He was the husband of Dwilla (Davis) Christine. They were married 51 years in December. He was employed by the former Freihofer's Baking Allentown, for many years, retiring in 1972. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Clinton and Rebecca (Gruver) Christine. He was a member and former trustee of First Baptist Church, Slatington.

He was an Army veteran of World War IL, serving in the Medical Corps during the African and Italian campaigns. Survivors: Wife, and sister, Perma Nagle of Allentown. Services: At convenience of the family. No calling hours. Memorial services will be announced.

She was the wife of Franklin A. Moyer and the late Charles A. DeTurk. Born in Lyon Station, she was a daughter of the late Chester F. and Emma N.

(Kroninger) Graver. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Kutztown. Survivors: Husband; son, Charles P. DeTurk of Newark, and two grandsons.

Ondush Sophie E. Ondush, 83, formerly of 333 Ridge Emmaus, died Thursday in the home of her daughter, Joanne wife of Ronald Kern of Emmaus. She was the wife of the late John A. Ondush. She was a sewing machine operator for the former Patricia Pat Dress Allentown, for many years until retiring.

Born in Poland, she was a daughter of the late Walter Greczyn and Honorka (Nahirna) Greczyn Horvath. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus. Survivors: Daughter, with whom she resided, and another daughter, Eleanore wife of George Cosmos of Emmaus; sister, Marcella Malinowski, in Connecticut; stepsister, Anna Croll of Emmaus; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Stortz, 49; former video center Michaelina M. Stortz, 49, of 1014-A Port Hamburg, died Thursday in her home. She was last employed as an assembler at Hood and Co. Edenburg, Berks County. Before that she co-owned the former Jiffy Home Video Center, Hamburg, for six years.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of Helen (Novicki) Seyfried of Allentown and the late Raymond Seyfried. Survivors: Mother; son, Stephen A. of Wescosville; sister, Margaret, wife of John Evanko of Bethlehem; brothers, Jerry Tertolil of Pennsburg, Ronald of Jim Thorpe, Stanley of Northampton, David in Florida and Victor in Massachusetts, and three grandchildren. Waltz Floyd M. Waltz, 68, of 1602 Liberty Wilson, died Friday in Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Palmer Township. He was the husband of Elsie L. (Zarcady) Waltz. They were married 21 years last month.

He worked at Mack Printing Wilson, for 40 years until retiring in 1992. Born in Easton, he was a son of Myrtle (Bond) Waltz of Upper Nazareth Township, and the late Elmer Waltz. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wilson. He was a Navy veteran of World War IL. Survivors: Wife and mother; son, Ronald of Lakewood, daughter, Christine McCluskey of Bethlehem Township; sisters, Myrtle Chorones of North Catasauqua, Marie Dailey of Glendon, Betty Pritchard of Palmer Township and Nancy Hartzell of Wilson, and four grandchildren.

Duris, 81, of 512 Twentieth Virginia Beach, formerly of Walnutport, died Thursday in Virginia Beach General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Frank J. Duris. She was a sewing machine operator for Gloria Manufacturing, Slatington, for 25 years until retiring in 1974. Born in Lowhill Township, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Caroline (Maitz) Nicholas.

She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church, Palmerton. Survivors: Daughter, Nancy, wife of John Meinhart, with whom she resided; brother, Edward of Alburtis; sisters, Mrs. Margaret Krautsack of Neffs and Mrs. Mildred Brandstetter of Denver, and two grandchildren.

Graveside services: 2 p.m. Monday, Towamensing Cemetery, Palmerton. No calling hours. Arrangements, Harding-Fox Funeral Home, Martin Ormandy, New York Philharmonic cellist 36 years Joseph L. DeBarbieri, 79, of Bethlehem Township died Friday at his home.

He was the husband of Ada (Nigro) DeBarbieri for 57 years. A graduate of New York University and Cooper Union Institute of Design of New York, he retired as vice president of Bethlehem Contract- ing Co. in 1988. Before that he was a production manager for Luria Engineering, Bethlehem. He also owned Pizza Como USA, Bethlehem.

DeBarbieri designed ships for the Navy during World War II, and did design work for the World Trade Center, the Verazzano Bridge, the Lehigh Valley Mall circular ramp and supervised construction of the sculpture at the Bethlehem City Center Plaza. He invented the U-Control Handle for model airplanes. Born in New York City, he was a son of the late Charles and Mary (Re) DeBarbieri. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem Township. Survivors: Wife; daughters, Josette M.

Kane of Bethlehem, Mary, wife of Frederick Belforti of Lumberville, Bucks County, and Denise, wife of Raymond Payne of Hellertown; son, Louis J. of Northampton; sisters, Helen LoForte of Lakewood, and Blanche Pagel of Bristol, N.H.; four grandchildren and three great-granddaughters. He was mill operator at Hercules Cement Plant, Stockertown, for 41 years before retiring in 1967. Born in Szentpeterfa, Hungary, he was a son of the late Miklos and Maria (Timar) Skrapits. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Nazareth. Survivors: Sons, Joseph and Charles, both of Allentown, and twin sons, Louis of Nazareth and Leo of Hellertown; daughters, Rose, wife of Joseph Nemeth of Bushkill Township, and Mary Ann, wife of Ronald Mengel of Lake Ariel, Wayne County; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Miriam Lesher, 93, of 7 W. Park West Myerstown, Lebanon County, formerly of Palmerton, died last Saturday in E.C.C. Retirement Village, Myerstown. She was the wife of C. Raymond Lesher.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Francis S. and Hettie Elizabeth (Derick) Longsdorf. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church, Palmerton. Survivors: Husband; sons, James D. of Abbottstown, Adams County, and Robert H.

NEW YORK (AP) Martin Ormandy, a cellist who played for 36 years with the New York Philharmonic and then became a fixture in many of New York's free-lance orchestras for another three decades, died Tuesday at 95. Ormandy, believed to be the oldest working orchestral musician in the United States, played regularly with the New York Chamber Symphony, the Mostly Mozart Orchestra and the New York Pops and the Orchestra of the New York Choral Society. His last performance came just last month with the New York Pops. Ormandy, younger brother of the late Philadelphia Orchestra conductor Eugene Ormandy, was born in Budapest in 1901. At age 18, he became principal cellist at the Budapest Opera.

He followed his brother to New York and took a job at the Capitol Theater, where the older Ormandy was a violinist. Martin was free-lance player in theater and radio orchestras, playing both cello and saxophone until 1929, when Arturo Toscanini offered him a position in the New York Philharmonic. He remained with the orchestra until 1965 and then began free-lancing. Survivors include a brother, Laszlo, and two daughters. George A.

Rentko George A. Rentko, 68, of 111 W. 4th Bethlehem, died Friday in Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center II, Bethlehem. He worked in the Bethlehem water control room for 23 years before retiring in 1987. Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late George C.

and Anna H. (Semancik) Rentko. Survivors: Daughter, Kimberly Polak of Nazareth; son, Mark A. of Atlanta, sister, Mary, wife of Robert lacone of Jupiter Village, and a grandchild. Services: Private.

Luke's Quakertown Hospital after being stricken in his home. He was the husband of Anne M. (Fuller) Meinzer Moll. He was a construction foreman at various Lehigh Valley construction companies for many years before retiring in 1988. Also a union carpenter for many years, he served as a union officer.

Born in Hellertown, he was a son of the late William H. and Ida R. (Klotz) Moll. He was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Pennsburg, and a former member of the Lutheran Synod at St.

Stephen's Lutheran Church, Allentown. Moll was a Navy and Army veteran of World War II. He was a past Boy Scout commissioner of the Minsi Trail, Bethlehem, for 29 years. Survivors: Wife; son, Brent of Knoxville, brothers, Harold of Macungie and Larry of Souderton; sisters, Loretta, wife of Harold Clauser of Bethlehem, Barbara, wife of Robert Vargo of Bethlehem, Margaret, wife of Percy Lick of Coopersburg, and Arlene, wife of Michael Athis of Allentown; stepsons, John Lehr of Red Hill, attorney Christopher H. Meinzer and Mark J.

Meinzer, both of Pennsburg, and Gregory A. Meinzer of Hershey, and 10 step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Michele Miller. Memorial Mass: 11 a.m. Wednesday in the church.
