If allowed to ride for two weeks or so poisoning will be too late to save the tender crops. A booklet from the University of Arizona received at the County Agent's office reveals that 65 Jackrabbits can eat as much range feed as one cow.

Even at minimum feeding, 240.jacks can polish off the feed needed by one cow. After poisoning operations at Gilbert Brothers Ranch, 100 rabbits were counted from the car from a bait-line. No attempt was made to gather the rabbits, so the number killed was several times the number seen. N. H.
