Hints from Heloise Male Shoppers: Please Take Note Star-Gazettf AMILY ELMIRA, N.Y. July 18, 1972 PAGE 9 and my wedding anniversary. An "un-present" gives me pleasure, saves space and has no price tag. Here is what I do: When I have an item which is cracked, chipped, stained or otherwise depressing to me, I can't bring myself to throw it out if it is still useful. So I mentally mark that item to go out on the next of the four occasions I mentioned above.

My family would never euess that the reason I am so happy on these special days is not for what I got but for what I got rid of! JO DEAR The other day I was sick and couldn't go to the store, so I sent my husband. Like most husbands, he didn't know where anything was, so I had this idea: I took a piece of paper and made lines indicating how many aisles there were and, on each, marked where the product could be found. That way he didn't have to go from one aisle to another hunting for things. Neither did he have to ask a clerk who may have been busy. MRS.

B. J. HUDSON What a lucky husband to have such a thoughtful wife! HELOISE DEAR HELOISE: Starting to broil or fry your steak while it is still frozen makes it more tender and juicier.
