PISCES (Feb. 20 to March 20) More affection shown your mate now is wise. Don't neglect to pay important bills. Sidestep one who is not loyal to you. It's the principle By ABIGAIL VAN BUREN DEAR ABBY: I hope you will take lime to give me your opinion on a problem that involves two partners in a small business.

Partner A bought a $100 ticket to a charity ball with company funds, a normal procedure. The day of the ball, partner A asked partner if he would like to use the ticket. Partner said no. Partner A offered it to others. No takers.

At the last minute Partner A decided to go himself. The ticket was the winning number. It won "Partner A insists the money is his. Partner thinks it should be split 50-50. What do you think! P.Ri DEAR P.R.: If partner with the knowledge and consent of partner invested company funds in an oil well, and it brought in a million-dollar gusher, wouldn't partner be entitled to half the proceeds? The same principle applies.

DEAR ABBY: When I go to my doctor for my blood pressure checkup, he always checks my breasts for cancer as well. We both belong to the same country club. I wonder if he thinks he is doing nie a favor, or if he is doing himself one. As far as I know, there is no cancer in my family, and I read somewhere that people with high blood pressure don't usually have cancer. Do you think I should change doctors? ANXIOUS IN MONTANA.

DEAR ANXIOUS: He is doing you a favor, not himself. He sounds like a very competent physician, but if the fact that you see him socially inhibits yon, you'd be wise to change country clubs! DEAR ABBY: I.am a 16-year-old girl who agreed to babysit for a neighbor. I know they don't have much money, so I charged only 50 cents an hour. Everything was fine until she went out the door and said: "I left a few dishes in the sink. Would you mind doing them We're bringing home company." Well, I did the dishes, and I really didn't mind.

A few nights later, she said: "You know how to run a gashing machine, don't you? Well, just throw in these towels and a few Utile odds and ends, will you? Then she ran out the door. (I did three loads of laundry that evening.) Now, it's become a regular thing. She always leaves the supper dishes in the sink for me to do, and I'm doing most of her laundry. Besides that, I hjve her throe children to get supper for and put to bed. And all for 50 cents an hour.

Is this fair? And how can I tell her I think she's taking advantage of DEAR SHY: Of course it's not fair. And you can tell her that, Just as you've told me. You were hired as a sitter, not a housekeeper. He has offers I By MARILYN BECK "HOLLYWOOD -Peter Douglas, younger brother of; Michael and son of Kirk, wants a "Cuckdo's Nest" of'his own. "'Cuckoo," of course, was the smash motion picture that Michael produced and now Peter's putting together a film project that he hopes will hoist him from the status of still photographer to hot-shot producer.

i -He already has offers out to Charlotte Rampling jand Bruce Dern to costar in his "The Yellow Jersey" story about bicycle racing. And already has been assured that his father will lend his support to the cast and to the financing. The movie will be made for Kirk's production company. Director Boris Sagal finally got the cameras rolling on "Angela" in Montreal and has quite an incentive to finish that Sophia Loren film by the end of the year. If he doesn't he'll miss his wedding to Marge Champion, scheduled for New Year's Eve in Los Angeles.

etress-turned-agcnt Victoria Principal has ended her lengthy liaison with Beverly Hills physician Mark Saginor, and is now involved in a romantic whirl with movie man Guy McElwaine. Playwright-filmmaker Josh Logan is working on the translation of his classic "Mr. Roberts" work into an ABC-TV special presentation with Henry Fonda (the original Mr. Roberts) in the role of the older Doc. And with John Denver as the ensign.

Logan certainly learned (if he didn't already know) how highly he's regarded by show business Colleagues while taping a segment of "The Dinah Shore Show" centered around a salute to the theatrical giant who's been plagued with mental illness. And among those who paid homage were Mary Martin, who flew in from New York just for the evening; William Holden, who drove in from Palm Springs, and Lee Marvin, who jetted to Hollywood from Arizona for the taping. Holden has been busy promoting his sensational new "Network" flick, and Marvin has been hyping his current "Shout at the Devil" release, but both got so carried away tossing bouquets at Logan they didn't even find time to plug their pictures. My mother, while cleaning my room today, found cigarette butts under my bed. She told me, "From now on, put the butts in the ash tray," But she didn't holler at me. My parents know that I have been smoking a long time. Why haven't they punished me? They both smoke. I am 14.

Do you think I should start smoking in front of them? No Reprimand in Pennsylvania (A.) If you insist on smoking, you should do it openly not in secret. Feeling that you have to smoke (or do anything) in secret makes it worse. I do, not know why your parents haven't punished you for smoking. You might ask them. Perhaps it because they know that In smoking you are punishing yourself.

Both you and they would be wise to stop smoking. As long as you do smoke, be sensible about cigarette butts. Throwing them under the bed is not only messy and unsanitary. It is also a good way to start a fire. Using an ash tray, as your mother said, is much better.
