THE EVENING STANDARD, MONDAY, AUGUST PAGE Engagement Of Donna Fike Announced Today By Her Parents Roundup Is Held By JVaynesburg Club At the Greene County 4-H Club Roundup, nek Thursday at Waynesburgr High School, gome 300 girls and young ladies modeled their skirts and dresses for an enthusiastic audience during a style show. Mrs. Grace L. Boord and Mrs. Jane Smith Rhodes extension home economists, conducted the' the day-long program which af forded members of 184 4-H clubs an opportunity to have their 1960 projects evaluated and displayed Included in the program was, recognition for two club members, a dress revue in which contestants were selected for the district dress revue, the modeling of Japanese clothing, and various entertainment features.

Blue, red and white ribbons were awarded garments and food prepared as 1960 projects by club members. Mrs. Anna Addleman received a gold clover certificate for 10 years of service as leader of the Green Grove Club at Clarksville. Mrs. Ethel McMichael was awarded a silver clover certificate for five years of service as leader of the Kices Landing Club.

Three girls, out of seven who competed, were selected to compete in Hie district dress revue August 25 at Houston, Washington County. Cheryl Anderson, a member of the Whiteley Twp. Club, who modeled a wool suit, won first place. Second place was won by Carol Ann Simmons, of the Ruff Creek Club, with a pink net evening gown. Susan Honsaker, Carmichaels Club, who modeled an afternoon dress, won third place.

Others competing were: Pamela Mt. Joy, Carmichaels Club; Rose DiPasquale, Green Grove Clflb; Lois Balazick, Greene Grove Club, and Linda Guesman, Rices Landing Club. The afternoon program was in charge of the Monongahela Twp. 4-H Club, with Barbara Blackshere serving as master of ceremonies. A highlight of the program was a demonstration by Miss Judy Fillmore on the way in which Japanese ladies dress.

Miss Fillmore whose parents reside in Japan, is spending the summer with Mr. Bpord, who is her aunt. Miss Fillmore was assisted in her demonstration by Kathleen A piano and flute duet by Kay and Mary Jo Miller, Waynesburg, and a dance by Nancy Angelini, Carmicbaels, was also included on the program. Her finger-tip veil was held by a crown of pearls and sequins, and she carried a cascade bouquet of white roses and stephanotis with green anc long white streamers.
