JANET BONISLAWSKY Mrs. Janet Bonislawsky, the former Janet a 1 i daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph S. Valigore of Old Pittsburgh Unionlown, has been awarded a National Science Foundation grant by the Northeast Missouri Slate College, Kirksville, Mo.

Mrs. Bonislawsky is presently a resident of Fairbanks, Alaska, and is a biology instructor at the Main Junior High School, there. The grant is to be used for the first summer's graduate work in ecology. It is possible that the grant will be extended for two more summers so that a maximum of 24 graduate credit hours may be obtained. This is the second geology program being offered by Northeast Missouri State College to 45 high school teachers from every part of the United States.

After completion of the third summer the teachers will be qualified to act as consullanls on biology curriculum as taught in secondary schools. Mrs. Bonislawsky is a former resident of Unionfown and i her un- dergradualfi degree from California Stale College. A report on the recent meeting of Continental Con- gress in Washington, D. C. was given by Mrs. Renn and Helen O'Neill, delegates. Mrs.

Renn displayed the silver ribbon which the Great Meadows Chapter received. She is employed as a guidance counselor at Mapletown Junior Senior High School in Greensboro. She also held a position at McGuffey Junior Senior High School. The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of German Twp. High School and attended the University of Maryland and Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Va. Recently he completed training at the Officers' School of Navy Recruiting at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Fla.

He is assigned to the U. S. Naval Recruiting Sub-station at Springfield, Mass, and is the administrator and officer in charge of Navy Recruiting activities in Massachusetts, Connecticut and Vermont. He also acts as area coordinator for Navy matters in that area. The couple plans lo be married Aug.
