Browning, 78, 1718 S. Courtland died Sunday, Feb. 3, 1000, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital after an illness of about one year. Born in Tipton County Jan.

he was the son of John and Rosle (Rogers) Browning. On Oct. 16, 1990, he married Sylvia Pearl Cunningham, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Beauford Browning of Carmel and Max Browning of Young America; Peru daughter, R.R. Wilma Jean grandchildren; Mason, 11 nine great- ndchildren; Blessing of and Windfall two and sisters, Lucy Olive Passwater of Phlox.

Four brothers preceded him in death. He was a lifelong resident of Kokomo and retired in 1973 after 46 years of employment with Ford Motor Co. He was a charter member of First Church of God. Services will be at 10 a.m. nesday at First Church of God, 2222 W.

Sycamore with the Rev. Ronald Crump officiating. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery. Friends may call at Funeral Home, Kokomo Chapel, from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and at the church one hour before services.

(AP) Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, president of the University of Notre Dame, has joined in a $100 million fund-raising effort to help provide aid in Cambodia, the school announced. Hesburgh attended a meeting of the National Cambodia Crisis Committee with first lady Rosalynn Carter in the White House last week to launch the drive for private donations, he said. At the meeting, Hesburgh reported that some $30 million dollars had been raised from non-governmental sources since last October to help battle starvation and hunger in Cambodia.

NEW LONDON, Ind. Newman HIll, 76, New London, died at 3:20 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 1900, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Kokomo.

Born Nov. 38, 1903, in Union County, he was the son of James and Necy (Raley) Hill. He was married July 19, 1925, to Ruth Bridges, who survives. resident of the New London area since 1941, he was farmer and for several years operated grocery store here. He also had been an employee of the Western School Corp.

He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church and served as chairman of the deacon board. Other survivors are three sons, James E. HIll, Walter Hill and Dennis K. all of Kokomo; six sisters, Mary Helmberger of Frankfort, Olive Fearnow of Russiaville, Flossie Long Mier of Sibley, 111., Leola Palmer of Knoxville, Mae Hill of Lagoda, and Elva Orr of Kempton; two brothers, Elmer Hill of Forest and Denver Hill of Russiaville, and nine grandchildren. One son two brothers preceded him in death.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Harry Cubel and the Rev. Rick Shaw officiating. Burial will be in the Russiaville Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Stout Funeral Home, Russiaville, after p.m. Wednesday and at the church one hour prior to services. Iva May McMath WINONA LAKE, Ind. Iva May McMath, 84, Grace Village, died at 6 a.m. Sunday, Feb.

3, 1980, in Kosclusko Community Hospital in Warsaw following a two-year illness. She formerly lived in the Walton area. Born in Cass County, April 27, 1895, she was the daughter of John A. and Nancy (Logan) Countryman. She was married to J.

who preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Ellen Lambert of Warsaw; two sons, John M. McMath of Rio Linda, and James B. McMath of Walton R.R. nine grandchildren and a half-sister, Mrs.

Joe Johnson of Port Charlotte, Fla. A brother and sister preceded her in death. Mr. and Mrs. McMath formerly owned and managed a trout farm in Colorado.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Murray Funeral Home, Galveston Chapel, with the Rev. Tom Clark officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Internment will be at the Galveston Cemetery at a later date. Sandra L. Willhoite MILWAUKEE Sandra L. Willhoite, 35, Milwaukee, died at St. Michael's Hospital here Thursday, Jan.

31, 1980. Born April 29, 1944, in Chicago, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Marguerite (Miller) Rash, formerly of Kokomo. They survive in Milwaukee. Other survivors are a daughter, Rachelle Willhoite, at home; three brothers, George Rash, Lloyd Rash Jr. and Donald Rash, all of Milwaukee, and one sister, Sherrie Brophy of Chicago.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Crown Point Cemetery in Kokomo, with the Rev. Robert Williamson officiating. There will be no public calling. Ellers Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Florence Rose Brown BRADENTON, Fla. Florence Rose Brown, 81, formerly of Kokomo, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 1980, in Bradenton Nursing Home here. She was born Feb. 6, 1899, in Kingman, the daughter of Francis and Lucy (Williamson) Wallace.

She was married to Jasper Brown, who preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons, William W. Brown and Nell Brown, both of Bradenton; a brother; Marvin Wallace of Kingman; a sister, Edith Simpson, Macksville, 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. While living in Kokomo, she was active in Highland Christian Church and Order of the Eastern Star. Services will be Wednesday In Bradenton.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Memorial Park Cemetery, Kokomo. 3, 1900, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after an illness of several months. Born in Tipton County Aug. 8, 1929, she was the daughter of William J. and Bertha (Townsend) Rayl. On June 6, 1964, she married Ronald L.

Patton, who survives. The couple had lived in Tipton, Indianapolis and Franklin. Other: survivors include a daughter, Susan Hagadorn of Evansville; two sisters, Mrs. J. L.

(Velma) Strong and Mrs. Garland (Mary) Maddox, both of Tipton; seven brothers, Claude C. Rayl of Tipton, Beull L. Rayl of Anderson, Darrel Rayl of Kempton, Bryon Rayl of Montpellier, Gerald Rayl and WilLiam Rayl, both of Florida, and Aubrey Rayl of Mississippi, and one grandson. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m.

Thursday at Leatherman-Morris Funeral Hoine in Tipton with the Rev. J. Franklin Arthur officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Baptist Cemetery in Tipton County. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m.

He was born in Clinton County Nov. 17, 1900, He is survived by his wife, Lena; a son, Paul Gaylor of Russiaville; a daughter, Betty Scherer of Fort Wayne; a halfbrother, Maurice Gaylor of Marion, and a half-sister, Doris Peden of Kokomo. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at D.O. McComb Sons LakePark Funeral Home in Fort Wayne.
